Cas looked down at the heartbeat ring on his finger.
Him and Sam had bought them together in replacement of wedding and engagement rings. They were incredibly special because you could feel the heartbeat of the other person.
The only time you couldn't feel their heartbeat was when the other person didn't have on the ring, or...
Their heart wasn't beating.
Cas kept looking down at the ring and let a little sigh escape his lips. He really wished that he could feel Sam's heartbeat. He really wished he could.

Thump.
"Wha-"
Thump.
Cas stared at the ring in shock. He just felt a heartbeat! But that couldn't be true... Could it?
Cas did forget one important detail though.
Sam was a Winchester.
When have they ever stayed dead?
