Episode 40

Song: The Knife In My Back

(Kari's POV)

I hope what happened to the last one doesn't happen to this one. This one's promising though. She doesn't seem like she'll just disappear. I'm worried that Tk still doesn't love me. I grab Tk's hand and run to the girl's bathroom with him in tow. 

"Kari I can't be in here," he said. 

I looked into his eyes and said, "Tk, do you love me?" 

He hesitated and slowly nodded. I hugged him and felt him hug me back. 

"I love you, Tk", I whispered into his shoulder. 

He stiffened for a moment then relaxed and he kissed my head. I looked up at him and kissed him quickly, blushing. I saw his face turn bright red after I kissed him. He pulled my face closer and kissed me. I heard the sound of a picture being taken. We both pulled away and looked to the door where a galaxy dress was whisking out of sight. 

I looked down and said, "I-I'm sorry," I hurried out of the room. 

I ran into the computer lab and said, "Did you seriously follow us, Mãnye?" 

She pulled out her camera and said, "Tai, come look at this!" 

I ran over and took her camera. 

"No!", I yelled. 

Tai and Matt looked over at me weird and everyone else was laughing. I realized Mãnye had already shown everyone but our brothers. I stormed out with her camera in hand. I passed Tk but ultimately kept walking. 

I heard footsteps and dripping water behind me. 

Following me. 

I glanced back and saw a dark figure. I ran as fast as I could out of the school. Everything seemed to glitch out in my vision. I stopped on the opposite side of the road from the school. 

My digivice fell out of my pocket and I was taken to another world.

(Tk's POV)

Kari just ran past me. I stopped by the room quickly then I ran outside. I saw her on the other side of the road. Her digivice fell out of her pocket and she disappeared with a gasp. I ran over to where she had been. I picked up her digivice and ran back to the others. 

"Kari's disappeared!", I said gasping.  

Mãnye said, "Tk the beach. Go now!" 

I turned and ran to the beach. I had Patamon and Gatomon with me. I ran down the whole beach calling her name. I stopped for a minute at a cliff to catch my breath before all three of us were yelling her name forward to the middle of the river. 

A floating image of Kari black and white appeared in the sky calling out, "Tk help me!" 

I jumped forward towards her with Patamon and Gatomon right behind me. I ran out and straight to Kari. 

I grabbed her hand and said, "Why are you here?" 

"I don't know something brought me here and Tk I'm really scared," she said hugging me.

"Where are we?", I said. She shook her head.
