Episode 78

Song: Angry Too

(JJ's POV)

I ran over to the nurse's leg and held a washcloth over the injury. She slowly sat up and shook her head.

The nurse exclaimed, "What on earth happened?!"

All us kids exchanged a look and I carefully walked up to her. I put my hand on her shoulder and smiled softly at her.

"A rare parasitic Digimon burrowed into your leg and we had to get it out. Just take care of the wound and stay away from small black creatures for now and you'll be okay," I said with a smile.

Her eyes widened and she nodded slowly. She put her hand over the cloth and applied ample pressure. She looked around terrified, and I heard a snicker from someone in the group.

I turned around a searched the faces of those behind me. Anthony looked over at me, a small smile on his face.

"What's so funny?" I ask.

"I just find it a little funny that she's so scared of a little Digimon when it's already dead and gone," he said looking me dead in the eyes.

I had to admit, he had a point. A very small point, but a point all the same. The Virumon was already dead, and she looked terrified of it. Nonetheless, I still glared at Anthony.

"She's never encountered a Digimon before Anthony. She has every right to be afraid. We don't know if there are other Virumon around," I said whilst rolling my eyes.

Anthony nodded to me, "Alright dude, you got a point. Sorry man."

I nodded to him and then turned back to the nurse, "Don't bother yourself with that miss, we'll take care of everything on this end."

"So," she said, "You guys are the real deal? You're the actual DigiDestined?"

At my nod, she legit squealed and said, "You have to be the reliable one right?"

I nervously put a hand behind my head and chuckled, "Yeah, that's me."

"Woah, is it true that you were each cursed with a divine power that you have no control over?" she asked, almost seeming like a child who just met their favorite superhero.

"Well, it's more like gifted," Florella said from behind me.

"Maybe for you," Melodee mumbled from behind her.

"Oh by the way," Flo said, "I may or may not have sliced Boa's father's neck open earlier. If you could call someone to clean up that mess?"

"Wait," Vierra said, "You killed someone and then admitted to it just like that?"

"Well," Melodee said, "In her defense, he did kidnap us, and had been kidnapping kids and locking them in his basement."

"Well," Tony said, "Ya coulda started with that!"

"I could've," Floral said, "But, that would've taken all the fun out of it. I mean, did you see your guys' faces?"

"Absolutely priceless," Boa said from at Floral's feet.

Boa hugged Jackal tightly and whispered something to him. Jackal immediately shook his head. Boa pouted and then sat down on the floor. Jackal gave Boa a pointed look. Boa turned away from him a pretended he couldn't see Jackal.

I laughed and asked, "What is happening in front of me right now?"

Flo just shook her head and said, "Well, Boa is deaf, and Jackal is mute, so they can't argue like other people. I'm guessing they're fighting about something."
