Episode 27

Back to school. Slower schedule.

(3rd person POV)

The kids' Digimon helped Andromon get out of the way and Kari started glowing again. The Numamon fought but they were destroyed. Agumon warp-digivolved to Wargreymon. He ran towards Machinedramon and Machinedramon sliced upwards. 

As soon as Wargreymon got past Machinedramon he de-digivolved to Koromon. Soon after Machinedramon fell apart and burst into tiny pieces. The kids ran out of the cavern and the flying Digimon flew them to the last bit of spiral mountain left. The kids built a monument to the Numamon.

(Mãnye's POV)

I started walking up the mountain towards the flat peak. 

I felt eyes on me and heard Tai say, "Wait, shouldn't we wait and try to find Matt, Mimi, and Joe." 

I shook my head and didn't stop. I felt someone grab my hand. I glanced back and it was Kari. She locked eyes with me and I stopped and couldn't break her gaze. 

"What?", I asked harshly. 

I immediately regretted it but didn't let it show. 

She looked a little hurt but whispered, "What does your future seeing say?" 

I winced thinking about the last time I had heard from my 'helper'. She had taken me over not remembering to breathe and then left me coughing on the ground. For something I didn't do I might add. I yelled I was sorry because that's what they wanted to hear. 

I heard it and listened to it motionlessly, "Go now. Send Sora and Tk to find the missing ones. Take Andromon to the peak. Now!" 

I said, "They say to go now I'll fill you in on the rest in a minute c'mon Andromon." 

I started walking pulling my hand out of Kari's grip. I hear them all following. Wait. That isn't enough footsteps. I glanced back. 

I stopped and said, "Tk, Sora, Kari, Salamon what is it?" 

They motioned for me to come over. I walked over slowly. 

Sora said, "Mãnye we all saw you tense up when Kari asked you about what the voice thingy had to say." 

"Then you said suddenly what it had told you," Tk continued. 

Kari said, "We're worried about you." 

"I just don't wanna lose you Mãnye," Salamon finished. 

I looked down and went to walk away. I heard someone say my name but I didn't listen. 

I heard someone scream, "Mãnye watch out!" 

I ignored them and heard the mysterious voice of my helper say, "You might wanna listen." 

I ignored them all and walked forward. 

I heard a voice in my ear say, "Mãnye look at me." 

I turned to them and looked into their face. It was Izzy and I felt really bad about it but I turned back around and kept walking. I saw something black circle my feet and I screamed. A hole opened beneath me and I fell. 

I heard the mysterious voice of my helper say, "You should have listened." 

Then everything was quiet. 

I sat down and thought, "Useless. I should stay in this cave." 

I thought about it for a minute and then got up and started walking down the tunnel. 

"I shouldn't be doing this. They'll need me."  

I stopped and sat down. My thoughts conflicted so I stayed where I was and cried. Tears silently slipped down my face. I heard a scream. I shot up and noticed I was surrounded by a black aura. I ignored it and ran towards the sound. 

"Crap I'm in a cave below the surface," I shouted out loud. 

I saw where I had fallen from and started climbing up. I made it to the top and saw everyone gathered around something... or someone. I climbed out and walked slowly to the group. I stayed out of sight and saw they were all gathered around Salamon. I pushed through, grabbed her, and started walking away from them. 

Izzy ran and tried to grab my hand then stopped as he noticed the black aura, "That was around Salamon before she started to digivolve," he said. 

"Digivolve? But she's still Salamon," I said quietly, stopping. 

I looked down at her and said, "I'm unfit to care for her." 

I handed Salamon, my crest, and my digivice to Kari.
