Episode 76

Song: Hold On

(David's POV)

A staff rolled from The King's hands and he whispered, "This is my end. Take my staff, young child of kindness. Save your friend, my staff can heal him. Only a pure soul can use its magic, so it's obvious I can't use it anymore." 

I knelt by him and whispered, "Thank you." 

As soon as the final bit of The King flew out of the window, I jumped up and bolted back to the others. 

I held out the staff towards JJ, and I said in a broken voice, "End his pain! Fix him, save him!" 

The staff shook in my hands and began to glow, just before the whole staff was covered in light, JJ stopped breathing. A beam of light shot from the staff and hit his chest. He gasped and sat up suddenly. He winced from the pain in his leg, the staff hadn't healed it, it had just taken him back from the edge. I fell to my knees, suddenly feeling very drained. I felt myself moved from where I was into a warm, sweet embrace. I looked up into JJ's gorgeous brown eyes.

(Florella's POV)

I grabbed TJ's collar and pulled him into the woods, just the two of us. 

TJ blushed and said, "H-Hey, what are you d-doing?!" 

I said sweetly, "Well, now that The King is gone, I thought that we could have some alone time before heading home." 

TJ blushed more and whispered, "Well, what did you have in mind?" 

I smiled and said, "TJ, I was wondering-" 

TJ grabbed my hand and said, "Floral, it's been a very eventful week. It has probably been the best week of my life. I don't think I would be able to change any of it if I could. That's why, right now, I'm asking you, Florella, will you be my girlfriend?" 

I couldn't speak, it was mind-blowing. 

I managed to gasp out, "TJ! Y-Yes! Yes! Of course, yes!" 

I pulled him closer and kissed him, I pulled back and mumbled, "I love you, TJ." 

My face felt like it was on fire. 

TJ grabbed my hand and said, "C'mon Floral, we should go back to the others, we have to be heading home soon." 

I nodded and allowed him to lead me to the other kids. As soon as we entered, they all turned toward us. Julie whistled to get my attention and put her hands up in a heart. I looked away and collected myself. I looked up as I heard someone scream. Vivie pointed at Kalie, Kalie was glowing in some places, and in those places, glowing bubbles were floating and leaving 'holes' in her body. I looked around and saw this happening to everyone. 

I said, "Just stay calm, okay, pick a buddy, stay with your buddy!" 

Julie said, "Hate to argue, but how do we stay with our buddy IF WE CAN'T EVEN KEEP OURSELVES TOGETHER!" 

Then, Julie disappeared. One by one, everyone disappeared. When I could see again, I was on the ground in the middle of a deciduous forest. I jumped up and put my hand on an oak tree, it was real! The Digiworld doesn't have any oak trees. I looked around and my eyes landed on TJ. I ran over and shook him until he woke up. 

"TJ! Get up, we're back in our world!" I exclaimed. 

I looked around for Salamon but stopped as I realized they'd still be in their world. 

TJ stirred and mumbled, "Patamon, stop it. Let me sleep." 

I poked him in the side and whispered, "TJ, the Digimon aren't here."
