You turn over, rubbing your eyes as the sunlight beams through the curtains. Reece is no longer next to you as he was last night. A sigh escapes your lips as you take a seat on the edge of the bed.
Was that all you were to him? A one night stand after everything you've been through together.
His clothes are gone from the floor and the reality hits you like a truck. He really didn't care like you thought he did.
You throw your clothes on and walk over to your kitchen. To your surprise, Reece is stood there at the oven, watching whatever's inside.
"Reece?" you call out his name from the doorway, still in shock that he's not left.
He spins around when he hears your voice. "I hope I didn't wake you."
You shake your head and take a seat at the table, watching him as he looks confused at the oven.
"I'm not a great cook but I thought I'd make you breakfast," he grins, "but I don't think it's cooking."
Standing up and walking over to his spot in front of the oven, you burst out laughing.
"You didn't turn the oven on!"
