"I'm sorry Colby. I didn't know that you would run off before we could tell you." He pulled back from me, to look me in the eyes. "I'm so so sorry," My voice broke, and I looked at the ground. I would not be doing this again, ever. I felt his hands on my chin, bringing my face back up to look at him. His blue eyes were still a little red, but there was nothing but love in them. He gave me a small smile. "It's fine baby. I should have known. We are in the middle of a prank war. It was stupid of me to react that way and to just believe it like that. It's just that I know you and Sam are close..." He shook his head, looking around at Sam and the other guys. "Wait, where's Kat?" He asked. "Is she okay?" Sam shook his head. "I don't know. I need to get back to her. Devyn and Tara went to talk to her to tell her it was a prank. Jake said that you were leaving so I knew that we had to stop you first." "We should go check on her then." His arm slid down my side, finding my hand, and grasping it in his own. He raised it to his lips and kissed it, looking me in the eyes. "Seriously, don't ever do that to me again. I know I deserved it but..." He paused, closing his eyes for a minute. "I thought that I lost you. I thought that I had lost Sam, my brother." He shook his head again and sighed, opening his eyes. "I have never felt anything like that before. I've been scared of losing you both before, obviously, with our past with Nick but this....this wasn't being scared of losing you. This was actually losing you both, and through a betrayal..." He lifted his other hand then let it drop, looking at Sam. "I get it. I get the way that you felt that night. I'm sorry that I did that to you." He smiled. "But it made for a good video!" Sam laughed. "Yeah, I guess it did. Too bad I didn't get to film this." Colby looked shocked. "You didn't do this for a video?" Sam shook his head. "Nope. Just for fun." Colby smirked. "Yeah...right...fun." I laughed a little, still feeling the affects of what had just happened. "I gotta go back. Talk to Katrina." Sam said, turning towards the trail. "Yeah, let's do that." We hurried back to camp, jogging the whole way. This was more of a workout than I've had in a long time. Katrina and the other girls were sitting in the chairs around the fire pit. Kat was leaning over, her elbows propped on her knees, her hands covering her face. Sam walked up behind her chair and laid his hand on her back. "Katrina...I'm sorry love." Her back convulsed, like she was sobbing. "Kat," Sam's voice turned to begging. She looked up at him, her eyes swollen and red, glazed over. He held his arms out to her and she stood up, falling into them, sobbing. I felt so bad. "I wouldn't have believed it!" She sobbed out, her head buried in his chest. "But you had been flirting all day, and making it feel weird. Then making me feel like I was crazy!" She leaned back to look at him, her eyes angry now. "What in the actual f*ck Sam?" "Sorry," He said bashfully. "It was just a payback prank from the cheating prank that you guys did on me." Her mouth fell open. "That was years ago!" "Yeah well, Colby didn't have a steady girlfriend soon enough." Colby scoffed at that line. She punched him not too lightly in the chest. "Why did you have to make it so real? We didn't do that to you!" He laughed a little. "Because I didn't think you would believe it. Either of you." He said, looking at Colby. "I had to build it up so that you would get suspicious."  "Yeah, that seemed to work huh?" Colby replied, dryly. Kat looked up at Sam's face. "Wait, you're bleeding." She looked at Colby, who raised his hand, acting a little ashamed. "That would be my fault." "Oh no, Colby, you didn't." She sighed. Then she got a thoughtful look. "Actually, I can totally believe that you did, because I wanted to do the same thing." She glared at Sam again. "I didn't mean too!" Colby exclaimed. "I felt this uncontrollable rage, and that's why I left. Then I saw Sam again and I just snapped. I don't even remember doing it, to be honest." He ran his hand through his hair, making the blue streaks shift through the deep brown. I looked at Kat. "Kat...I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have done it." She met my gaze and smiled a little. "I wanted to kill you, ya know...but I don't really blame you now. You got sucked into the prank war. I've been there." She shrugged, then pulled away from Sam. She reached her arms out to me and I hugged her tightly. "I never want to lose your friendship. I would never ever do that to you. I love you Kat." We released, and she smiled at me. "I love you too babe." I looked around at everyone, realizing that Corey, Jake, Devyn, and Tara were all staring at us, being very quiet. I started laughing and they looked at me like I was crazy. "It's over now, you guys. You can go back to being normal now. Quit freaking out!" "Colby almost killed Sam." Corey said quietly, his facial expression serious. "That....was insane." Jake said, pulling Tara up against him. "Was it that bad?" Devyn asked softly, her eyes wide. "I've never seen them actually fight." "Well, it wasn't really a fight. Sam never hit Colby." Jake replied. "Yeah, why didn't you hit me back?" Colby asked, realizing this. Sam shrugged. "I didn't want to hit you. I assumed you would hear me saying it was a prank eventually." Colby looked at Corey. "I hit him one time. I didn't almost kill him. I couldn't. I just remember feeling like I wanted to hurt him like he hurt me." "You only hit him one time because we pulled off of him!" Corey exclaimed. Colby blushed. "Can we forget about this now?
