Chapter 2

I took my ring off and put it in my pocket watching as Colby slid across the floor in his socks. "Jesus Colby, slow down!" He snatched the door open, revealing Sam, Jake, Brennen, and Corey. "Brotheeeers!" He yelled, holding his hands up and out. "Brotheeeeer," They all replied back in unison. I just shook my head and laughed at them. They were total idiots sometimes, but I loved them. Colby stood back, opening the door wider so they could enter the apartment. "You aren't ready yet Colby?" Sam asked, looking him up and down. Jake reached up an ruffled Colby's still damp hair. "Bro, stoop." Colby exclaimed, ducking away from him. Brennen laughed, and walked past the others. "You don't touch Colby's hair Jake! It's special." He slapped Colby on the ass, and ducked away before he could retaliate. "Oh! Okaaay Brennen." Corey said, his big brown eyes going wide. "Maybe we should give those two a moment?" He turned back to the door, motioning the others to follow. Brennen winked at Corey. "I got time for you too Corey." Corey tilted his head, and put on a sweet smile. "Wellll....okay!" He jumped a little, pretending to be excited. I felt like I was watching some sort of comedic movie with these guys...but no, this was just life. I couldn't be happier about it either. "Brennen, where is Serena? I thought she was coming with you?" I asked him, clapping my hands to get his attention. They were all horsing around now, pushing each other, and joking around. "Huh?" He looked up, Colby's arm around his neck pulling him down. "Babe, let him breath a minute?" I said, laughing. Colby's shoulders dropped and he looked at me, pouting. "Fiiiine." He replied, letting Brennen go. "I so had you." Brennen said, walking towards me. "B*tch, you wish," Colby replied, eyeing Jake because he was moving towards him. "Can you guys not break anything this time?" I called out, as Jake rushed Colby, ducking down and grabbing him around the waist. Sam jumped on Colby's back while Corey started yelling "Oh OHHHH!" Over and over again. Jake took Colby down, with Sam still on his back. They all collapsed in a heap, except Corey who just fell over on them on purpose. "Corey!" Jake yelled. "What? I wanted to be part of the group!" He exclaimed. Everyone started laughing. "Okay, now that that's over." I said, turning back to Brennen. "Where's Serena?" "Oh, she's coming with Devyn. She wasn't finished getting ready yet, so Corey rode with me and Serena's is going to ride with Devyn." I nodded. "Okay, just wondering. What are you guys planning on doing tonight?" "Getting drunk, of course!" Jake yelled out. His young ass had just recently turned 21, so he was all about making sure everyone knew right now. "Yeauuuuh!" Colby cried, grabbing Jake's shoulder and shaking it. "Baby Bubba is all grown up now!" Corey said. Sam just stood there a moment, bringing his lips in. "Yeah, this is gonna be fun." He replied, a smile forming on his face as he looked at Jake. Brennen shook his head and looked back at me. "We're going to Laser Blast first cuz..." He shrugged his shoulders. "It's laser tag." I smiled. They were just giant children. "Then we'll probably just end up at Dave and Buster's or Barcade. Grab something to eat, play some games, then hit the club for a few." I watched as Corey scooped Colby up, his legs swinging, and threw him on the couch. "We're not hitting the club!" He yelled, as he jumped up before Jake and Sam tried to fall on top of him. They ended up falling on themselves. He laughed and pointed at them. They stood up and started towards him. "Oh Sh*t," He exclaimed laughing and jogged over to me. He stood behind me, his hands on my shoulders. "Baby...protect me." I laughed, and turned around so that I was facing him, and wrapped my arms around his neck. "Always." I said, looking into his eyes. He smiled, and leaned down to kiss me. "Always." I felt someone grab me around the waist, picking me and throwing me over their shoulder. "What the hell?" I screamed. "We are not letting Colby get distracted tonight Y/N! He hasn't been out of the apartment in 2 weeks." I was literally laid over Sam's shoulder, my hair hanging down over my head. I turned my head to look up at him. He looked down and smiled, then tossed me on the couch gently. I sat up and blew the hair out of my face. "That was messed up Sam." He laughed and nodded. "I know...but I was serious. You guys have been stuck in this apartment with no company for 2 weeks. The walls aren't that thick so I KNOW what you have been doing...a lot. You both need a break or you're going to kill yourselves." "Saaam!" I exclaimed, embarrassed. I always forget that he can hear through the walls. I should probably learn to be quieter. He shrugged, smiling. "I'm just saying." He turned and walked back over to Colby and the guys. I met Colby's gaze and he shrugged. "You weren't going to help?" I asked. "They were holding me. I tried." He smiled and I smiled back. "Sure they were." I said, a little sarcastically. The doorbell rang again, and I jumped up to answer it. I opened the door to find Kat, Devyn, Serena, and Tara standing there. Kat was holding 2 bottles of liquor, and Serena was holding another. "Damn, do we really need that much?" I asked, remembering what happened last time I drank that hard. "You might not, but I do." Serena replied, smirking at me. I moved back to let them in and the guys started cheering.
