For once the  A.N is not about me. I just want to point smth out about a few characters (and finally update. I'm working on the new chapter tho!) , because I'm not sure if it became a 100% clear due to this story being only in Charlie's pov (and super slow), but if you want you can just skip this part, it won't matter. It's really just some background knowledge. If there's anything else you might like to know, just ask.

If sb is interested I can add a description for Brian and Charlie too, however because this whole story is basically about the two. Their character and motives should be clear... or at least clearer than the others.

1. Mary:

Mary is actually based on a friend of mine. Both of them are from a good family with money and both like to visit "poorer" places just for fun, though it's not their scene at all. She sees it as some sort of an adventure, but nothing for the long run. It's nice for a night, but at the end they want to go back to their own life.

Mary's relationship to Charlie started out as something convenient. Charlie didn't judge Mary for her background, which allowed her to just be herself. Furthermore due to Charlie's quieter nature, Mary had somebody that listened to whatever she wanted to speak off and that again without being judged. She does truly like Charlie, but often doesn't understand her. She blames it on Charlie's quietness though.

Mary likes excitement and action, hence why the idea of meeting the Stones and being with one of them tempts her. At first she even encourages Charlie's and Brian's relationship, though her opinion later on changes, because of several reasons:

1. Mary's rock star encounter turns out totally different from Charlie's. Though she's attractive and clever, she only ends up with one night stands and even pregnant in the end. In a way Mary despises Charlie therefore a bit, but takes it out on Brian rather than her, because Mary knows he had to be the one to chase after her friend. It simply irritates her that there's somebody so mad about her friend, whereas she ended up with nothing.

2. Secondly she can clearly see how intense their relationship is. They love each other, but to what price? She fears Charlie might end up being heartbroken and hence doesn't trust Brian...

Mary is very defensive about the things she cares about, like her baby or Charlie. In a way she's jealous of her, but on the other hand she wants to protect her from the heartache she might encounter of being with Brian. Then again she'd got no problem to use both Brian and Charlie to her advantage, if it means it can benefit her baby or herself. This might sound harsh, however being a single mother in the 60s was definitely nothing socially acceptable nor an easy situation, especially considering Mary's background, which explains why she jumps at every chance she gets and sometimes acts a bit bitchy.

She's not evil, but rather desperate and also a bit naive. Thinking a man, money or both might solve her problem, but obviously it won't. Furthermore Mary is not used to not getting her way nor does she sometimes understand if she's using somebody or not. It's however due to her education and her rich background, not her personality.

2. Keith:

Well I think I said at the beginning this story won't be a love triangle and that still runs true, even if that might sound surprising at this point. More on that later.

Keith's in short kinda Brian's counterpart.

He's a simple person, who is honest and doesn't care about much. He values certain things and can hold a grudge, but deep down he's a true and loyal friend. He befriends Charlie, because like Brian he sees her as something different, even if different here has a well different meaning. Keith wasn't as fond of groupies as the others minus Charlie Watts ofc, but instead he preferred somebody he could talk with (or do drugs with lol in Charlie's case drinking). Basically that's what they bond over at the beginning (and maybe because Mick chases after Mary, leaving them both on their own). Very simple, Keith found somebody he could have a drink with, somebody else than the same 5 people, who furthermore wouldn't bother him because he's famous or whatever, but looked at him like he was a normal guy. (Also because she's Brian's girl and Keith likes to annoy the other guitarist, he sees it as fun to spend time with her to tease Brian. furthermore he's at first suspicious of Charlie's and Brian's relationship,  thinking there's some secret and well he's curious. ) So no it wasn't love at first sight or anything.
