Chapter 18

So won kept twisting and turning in her bed.It had been 3 hours since she had returned from the party and slumber seems like a dream afar.She couldn't quite comprehend what exactly happened.But her heartbeat had hiked as she saw Taehyung usher Namjoon to the car.The pain was unreadable.Namjoon didn't glance back at her when the car drove away.And it bugged her.She wanted to know,it wasn't her business alright but her head kept pondering it.So won sat up,wrapping her blanket around her,dragged her window curtains apart.It opened to the dark night sky,a light thunder decorated it every now and then.Not much miles away,someone else sat exactly like her,his gaze set onto the night sky,clutching onto a photoframe.

"I have a huge headache",Kwan Ji said as she dropped onto her chair.So won leaned back to get a sight of her and yes,she looked awful.Jaesuk came out behind her.

"Am so sorry So won for what happened",He apologized,not making an eye-contact.So won didn't reply anything and let Jimin deal with it.Jimin didn't hold back as he warned him,harshly.He had felt guilty for leaving So won alone and more scared that Yoongi will roast him alive.So won's attention was dragged to the door as Namjoon walked in,in his usual hoodies and mismatched shoelaces.So won followed him after jumping off her seat.

"Can I come in?",So won asked and Namjoon turned around placing his bag on the table.Namjoon nodded,taking his seat.
"Are you okay?",She asked,"I wanted to call you but it was late-"
"I don't want you to tell anyone"
"I didn't,not even Jimin"
"and don't worry about me"

"Namjoon-"
"It's President and You may leave",Namjoon said,his voice lacking emotions.So won was taken aback and was really shook by his coldness.Only yesterday,she had felt that feeling again,warmth.And now...It was stupid of her to think anything likewise.She didn't say anything and left.Namjoon leaned into his chair.He regretted saying that but he doesn't want her to know his weakness,he doesn't want anyone to know.It's his burden to bear.His eyes travelled as So won went back to her seat ignoring Jimin who was trying to ask her why she looked upset.

Now that Taehyung and Jimin have decided to give their relationship a chance,they were always together and that forced So won and Namjoon to be in company.Most of their lunch were together,Both of them didn't actually lead any conversation,Taehyung covered up for them.One such lunch was disrupted when So won's phone decided to ring.Namjoon could read the caller ID,It was Jin with a 'heart'.
"Excuse me",She said as she picked up the call.

"Yaah,Jinah.."
She stood up and left the table to find a place where she won't disturb the trio.Namjoon tried so hard to bite down the question but he failed gracefully as he asked Jimin,"That,her boyfriend?"
"Who,Jin hyung?",Jimin asked before sending a glance at So won's cheerful self.Jimin smirked thinking about how brilliant of an idea it would be to say Jin was indeed her boyfriend.

"I didn't know Mr.president liked the gossip corner",Jimin said. Taehyung chuckled before saying,"I heard her tell Jaesuk hyung that Jin was indeed her boyfriend,Why?Besides,remember we saw them on a date"

Jimin didn't say anything for or against,he knows it was to just avoid Jaesuk.
Jimin and Taehyung went back to their conversation but Namjoon looked distracted until So won came back and took her seat.
"He is proposing today",So won mumbled to Jimin and he lightened up.
"OMG,are you excited?",Jimin squeaked back.

"Ofcourse,A new member to our family",So won shared the same excitement.
"Jin will pick me up in the eve",So won added.
"That's a bit surprising to let know before proposing",Taehyung said,shaking his fork.This was strange for him.
"Why not? we could be prepared",Jimin cut in.Taehyung shrugged and went back to his food.Jimin made sure his little lie doesn't get caught that quick.He noticed Namjoon looking uneasy and that amused him,definitely something was going on.Something Namjoon hasn't acknowledged yet.And Jimin was more than happy to help him.

So won was all smiles,thinking how Yoongi's proposal is going to be.Jin and So won had promised him to make for the perfect setting.Jin had called into tell her that he got his final mission done,that was to get Lilies,Shinyu's favourite flowers.

It was a long day for So won.Jin had arrived at the right time.Both of them had rushed to Min's back garden and decorated the whole place with fairy lights,set up the table and Jin's special cooking added to the moment.They had fun making the big heart of roses.So won wanted to stay back and see how Mr.let's-just-leave-the-ring-in-the-mailbox will do the proposing.But Jin wouldn't let her stay,that's why currently she was with Jin on that deserted bridge in the park,that overlooked a moon-kissed river .She kept checking her phone for any updates and a curious Jimin was the only one in inbox.

"Finally you can call Shinyu 'Sae eonnie'",Jin said checking the time.So won sighed and leaned into Jin,who wrapped his hands around her.
"What happened?",Jin asked,as soon as he sensed something wrong.
"Nothing,I don't wanna sound unreasonable"
"What do you mean?",Jin asked.
"I mean..urgh,I hate this..I do love Eonnie and oppa together and am the most excited for them.But now he is gonna have a family of his own soon..I-",So won went silent thinking how wrong it sounded.

Jin pulled away from her to face her,"It is totally okay to feel so,Idiot.You are only human"
"It's not wrong?"
"It's not",Jin reassured her,tousselling her hair.Silence fell again and Jin decided to break it,"How's the Namjoon guy treating you?"
"Why is he in our discussion?",So won asked confused.
"I don't know,I just remembered",Jin shrugged.

"He-",So won stopped as she thought back to the moments with the said human.Just when she opened her mouth again to tell Jin that maybe this Namjoon guy means something else to her,her phone chimed.
The message from Shinyu read,"He lost the ring"
So won shook her head as she dragged Jin to the car.
