Chapter 67

Jungkook was in his bed,tossing and turning for the umpteenth time,trying to get his head around everything that has happened.His head was bouncing back to 15 years ago,the memory of the day still so strong to fade.He remembers it to the very fine detail..even to the round cuffs of the little suit he wore for the funeral,every faces etched into his mind.The scream his beloved Namjoon hyung had let out when they lowered the coffin.Something he had burried away deep into his heart,now he was being forced to explore and he let his mind willingly to do it.Jungkook sat up to face the faint lighted old lava lamp sending blobs up.Namjoon hyung and Yun ah Noona has the same in their rooms too.He closed his eyes tightly and he remembered the little picnic Yun ah sneaked them off to from their school.Riding bikes along a windy countryside,Loud howls gone with the wind,picnic mats on a green river side,mouth stuffed with sandwiches and laughter.Before he even knew it,Jungkook was clutching his pillow tightly letting his thick tears fall onto his spreads.That laughter had ended,leaving behind scars on everyone who laughed.
And that man behind it was their loved one,if Jungkook could feel this much pain he can't even imagine how much Namjoon hyung is going to be hurt and a small part of him doesn't even want to bring the truth out just so Namjoon doesn't have to suffer again.He pressed his face against it palms.What can he do? Dong hoon will have the answer but he had been missing for years.Even so that is where it has to begin to trigger the downfall of Shil dam.

The ride from Namyangju back to Seoul gave So won enough time to think about everything the morning had presented on her.Jimin was talking over phone trying to find an excuse out of Taehyung's worry.They,afterall,had left early morning to the address they had a lead on.Only two days ago Jungkook told them about Dong hoon being Yun ah's fiancee and worked as a Systems engineer in the Kims' enterprises itself.The Kims had blamed Dong hoon for Yun ah's death because of his disappearance at the same time.Dong hoon had been missing for 15 years and noone has a lead on it,the police had eventually dropped the case and the failure to find a motive for the murder was still a shame.But Shil dam had made sure his brother and Sister-in-law know that it's the greed for the wealth Yun ah possessed.That's Jungkook's side of the story and from the old register database from Kims' enterprises Jimin had managed to find an address that linked to Dong hoon.So won and Jimin had set off the very next morning and in that small home in Namyangju,they met Il woon,Dong hoon's brother.

So won thought back to the conversation she had with Il woon.

"Once when the softwares broke down Hyung filled in to check Shil dam's PC and he found things..His dealings and partners,He handed over the files to Noona .By then Shil dam had found it ans Hyung was the one who found it.I remember Noona coming over one night,asking Hyung to go into hiding until she sorts it out.Shil dam was against Noona marrying my hyung already and this happens..",Il woon said.He paused to look at the duo who had been silent for a long time now.
Jimin sighed and he has a hunch that Dong hoon was no more but he didn't voice it.
"The files..who had them?",So won asked.
"Noona did..I don't think Shil dam found it cause after Noona's death he had come here to look for it multiple times.It was chaos,he threatened to kill my parents,beat me up."
"We need to find those files",So won told Jimin and he nodded,biting his lips.
"Thanks for helping us",Jimin said as he bowed and So won followed suit.
"Help me find my brother,Something in me tells me it's not good news but I need closure.I want to know what happened to him",Il woon said,focusing his eyes on the ground.So won and Jimin promised they will help him and as soon as they left,So won  had made a call to Jungkook.

"If uncle looked for it and still didn't get it,Chances are it's still in Noona's room",Jungkook deduced.
"I don't get it",So won was confused.
"Aunt keeps that room like a shrine from the day Noona was gone,She never lets anybody enter,not even Namjoon hyung and if I am remembering it right,Shil dam uncle had tried to convince her cause he said he wanted to mourn there in her memories but Aunt never let him.If ..If Uncle had searched everywhere and still couldn't find it,it's there",Jungkook finished.
"Are you sure?",So won wasn't very convinced.
"I don't know,it's worth a shot",Jungkook sighed,"It's the only shot"
"I think there's something else we could do too"
"What?"
"Exactly what Dong hoon did,Accessing Shil dam's pc"
"Are you crazy?"
"Jungkook,you look for the files.We'll  plan this one out",So won said.

"Hey",Jimin woke So won from day dreaming,she looked at him as he handed over his phone.
A few posts down she saw it,a picture of Namjoon and In young smiling side by side,waving as the cameras clicked away.Her heart dropped to her stomach as she read further about their wedding news.She exhaled heavily as another video of a happy Shil dam and Su man talking animatedly came up.So won shut the phone and directed her gaze outside.

It had been a full hour,a full hour since Jungkook had been in Yun ah's room.It was difficult to not be trapped in an emotional wreckage and actually look for the files,but yet he willed himself to do so.There were no files,he had looked everywhere,the drawers,the bedfoot cupboards,dressing table,everywhere.He felt foolish to even have thought the files would be here.Just when he was about to leave,his eyes locked onto the wardrobe at the corner of the room.There were footsteps approaching out the door.He had chosen a time where Aunt and Uncle will be outside but seems like someone is there,could be a maid,he told himself.But the footsteps died right infront of the door and he knew he can't stay in the room any longer.
"Well,Jungkook.What a Surprise!",Shil dam said eyeing at Jungkook as he swung open the door.If Jungkook was shocked,that didn't show up in his demeanour.He smiled his trademark and said,"Surprise indeed"

"What were you doing in Yun ah's room?",
"Oh..nothing,I was just..I missed her"
Shil dam tilted his head,"If I had known better,I'd think you are upto something"
"Ha..Anyo,Uncle.The anniversary is coming up and I just wanted to be close to something that reminds me of her"
"You do know your Aunt keeps it as a shrine",Shil dam shifted his weight onto the other leg,eyes never leaving Jungkook.Jungkook was uncomfortable under his eyes."I hope she doesn't know",Jungkook's voice filled with sarcasm and he bowed.As Jungkook was half way down the stairs,Shil dam said,"Your father had called me up for a meeting,Something about the IY heir?"
"In young?"
Shil dam didn't answer but smirked.
"I guess you would have to talk to Dad to find that out,Uncle",Jungkook bowed again and Shil dam watched him leave before he turned around at the room behind him.

"Where is Jimin,Tae?",Namjoon asked as the team filed out,"Does he need to be reminded he is the project leader and has to be at every meeting?"
Taehyung sighed heavily,"I would tell you if I know"
"You don't know?"
"He left early morning and didn't tell me a thing"
"Oh okay"
"Hyung"
"Yeah"
"I saw the wedding news,Are you going to go on with it?"
Namjoon opened his mouth to say something and Taehyung raised hie eyebrows.
"I am trying to find a way out,I can't do this to Jungkook and In young but Uncle told me to wait.I guess he has a plan"
Taehyung nodded,"Is it only for Inyoung ssi and Jungkook?"
"What do you mean?"
"So won-",Taehyung bit his lips.
"I don't know anyone such,If you are done,you should get back to work",Namjoon said as he proceeded to ignore Taehyung.

A/n:aaah..too much info but guys am honestly scared for Jungkook
so thoughts?
