Jungkook was quick to come around by the time So won left Shil dam's apartment not too long had he followed them.And the audio she recorded chimed into Jungkook's inbox in minutes.
"Would Jin be fine?",So won asked as she pressed play to check the audio.
"Yup,Dad's people are at the town,they'll block them up.He is safe",Jungkook said as he turned around into a tiny alley.So won's heart was beating fast and she wanted to ask Jungkook about Taehyung but she was too scared to do it.She was too scared to know.So won held onto the side door and the dashboard to prevent herself from swaying too much.She steadied her thoughts,this is it.Once it had started there is no stopping it.They are going along with this.
"He is following us",Jungkook cut her off her thoughts and So won immediately turned around to see a few metres behind Shil dam's car was approaching.
Jungkook glanced ahead,"There's a traffic,look..I'll let you off at the next turn,run further up you'll come at another intersection.Get a cab from there.I'll lose him far here",Jungkook said and So won nodded as she prepared to alight,taking off her seat belt.
"GO",Jungkook said as he turned the car around the road and So won jumped off immediately.She didn't turn around to see what was happening behind her.There was a screech and she knew Jungkook was off.Jungkook was riding slow with her in the car,now he was sure to lose Shil dam behind.So won ran with all her might,not stopping to catch breath,phone safely tucked inside her jeans.A few yards ahead,she came upto an intersection.Although she was exhausted to her limits,She was quick to hail a cab to get to Kims Mansion.She was sweating all over her body.Once infront of the mansion,she didnot wait to input the code and reach the front door.
"Namjoon",She breathed as the door swung open.Namjoon was sitting on the couch hunched up,deep in thoughts.He quickly jumped off his seat as soon as he saw So won,bewildered.So won hunched down pushing on her knees to breath.
"There's ...there's something..you need to know",So won caught her breath.The duo's attention was called onto the doctor exiting the room close.
"She's fine,She needs to sleep a bit.It's just the stress and emotional -",The doctor stopped as he read the room.So won supported herself onto the wall nearby.
"Thankyou Doctor,Do tell Ye jin what needs to be done",Namjoon said as he signalled the maid to show him out.So won staggered towards Namjoon and fished out the phone.
"I am sorry Namjoon",She said as he placed the phone on the coffee table and pressed play.The conversation echoed through the giant hall and Namjoon came down to sit on the couch,going back to his prime position,So won holding herself up,staring at the floor.
Just when the audio ended,Jungkook walked in closely followed by Shil dam.
"Namjoon-",Shil dam started but Namjoon didn't reply.He kept staring at the phone infront of him.So won took.her chance,"It was him,Namjoon..All along.He had sold the shares to Kims' rivals,drug mafia.He has been playing your father.He was the one who told me to leave you alone,he is the reason Tae is in the hospital,He killed Dong hoon oppa and he is the reason Yun ah Eonnie is no more-"
"Stop",Namjoon's voice came low but still strong.So won stopped as her mouth fell open,"Don't say her name",He finished.
"Hyung",Jungkook started and looked unsurely at So won.
"Namjoon but-"
"Namu..You wouldn't believe them,would you?Ha..I built the empire when hyung was weak,How would I sell the shares..How funny!!",The old man let out a scoff and laughed as he send gazes at the duo,"And Kookie,what happened to you?Why would you listen to this girl?She is trying to break us apart.."
Shil dam inched towards Namjoon,"Did you think Namu..my Namu will believe in anything you say just because he loved you once.I was the one who saved him..When young and even now..you were clearly a gold digger that's why I asked you to leave..I found your dirty secret"
So won was about to say something but Jungkook held her hand and stopped her.
"And ha...Murder Yun ah..She was like my daughter,my favourite..How,how could you even..Yun ah..If only she was here",Shil dam dramatically stopped.Namjoon took a deep breath,swallowing and looked up at his uncle.
"How much you had gone through,Namu!!Now this girl,If Yun ah-"
"Don't say her name",Namjoon said,this time directly looking at Shil dam in the eyes.
"You don't think what they say is true,Namu?"
"Did you know mom is sick?"
"I heard..That's why I came running and these -"
"She found something from Noona's closet.I am hoping you could explain",Namjoon said as he leant down to produce a red bundled file from under the coffee table.Jungkook's arms tightened on So won's arms as she exchanged glances with him.The files were still in the room,Neither Jungkook nor Shil dam had managed to find it but it was there,now Shamelessly lying on the table.So won struggled to come in terms.with what was happening.
"Namu",Shil dam started and Namjoon stood up hovering over him.
"It's Namjoon",He corrected.
"Namjoon..this is all a set up..This is all Jeon Soo Jung's revenge to get Kims' enterprises back."
"Mom is sick,Dad's not well either.I don't want to create a scene,Uncle.The police will be here soon.It's done",Namjoon said non-chalantly but his eyes couldn't hold it.Tears ran down his face.
"Namu..Namu,this is all wrong",Shil dam reached out to caress Namjoon's face but Jungkook pulled him away quick.
"Namu,don't believe them",He crazily shouted,"Namu..they are all liars.you know how much I love you,I have cared for you,I was the only one"
Namjoon dropped onto the couch and closed his eyes tightly,hands pressed against his forehead as more tears fell.He didn't heed as Cops dragged Shil dam out of the Kims' mansion forever.His head,instead,took him to all memories.Those he cherished dearly.Uncle was always there,in all the memories he laughed.He was the one who flew over for his graduation,taught him the business,the world.And suddenly everything was taken away.He dreaded having to explain it to his parents when they wake up.He raised his head as he felt a hand on his shoulder.
So won didn't know what to say so she did the next best thing,he hugged him as he pressed face over her stomach and brought a hand upto hold her arm and finally burst into tears.So won's hands travelled through Namjoon's hair,trying to calm him down.
"It's gonna be okay",She said.
