Soulmate AU in which whatever you write on your skin, appears on the other's person's skin as well!!

Deku stared at his hand and the small green word written onto it. A simple 'hey', nothing special. The truth is, he's been trying to get into contact with his soulmate ever since he turned 14, which is the age most people found they could communicate with them. Izuku is 15 now and to be honest he's on the verge of giving up. Maybe he just doesn't have a soulmate? Or his soulmate isn't at all interested in talking to him? It wasn't that uncommon for people to start dating before finding their soulmate. Maybe his was in a happy relationship with someone else?

He sighed, staring at his other hand in which he held a green pen. It's useless... Almost everyone in his class had already found theirs. Kirishima and Kaminari even used it to talk to each other during class or hero training. Apparently Uraraka and Iida had been talking before they came to UA and found out rather quickly, so their green headed friend felt more like the third wheel right about now.

Even the always quiet Todoroki Shoto had recently established contact with his soulmate. Big bold letters would be all over his arms whenever they changed in their hero clothes, exclaiming how awesome and cute the halfa was. It was adorable and Shoto was actually quite embarrassed about it.

Midoriya laid back on his back, staring at the ceiling. Everyone in his class was talking to their soulmates, whether they were in the same class, another school, another country, it didn't matter. Well, Mineta claimed to talk to his soulmate but nobody believed it since he never had the proof to back it up. Deku wondered who Kacchan's soulmate could be... The blonde didn't seem to mind all that stuff, focussing on being a hero, on becoming number one.

Maybe Izuku's soulmate is also focussing on their studies? Career before love kinda person? He sighed, again, and glanced at his hand, not expecting to see an answer. But his eyes shot open in the realisation there was something there other than his 'hey'. He sat up instantly and stared at it with a wide smile. Finally! Finally his soulmate had answered him!

Yes, it was short, but Midoriya didn't care. Instead he softly rubbed the dark red ink, smiling like crazy. Quickly, he grabbed his pen and held it to his skin. What to answer... He has never actually come this far so he'd hit a dead end... Maybe start of with a simple question? Or a joke? Before he could decide, he noticed new writing appearing on his hand.

Sorry it took me so long... I guess I didn't feel ready for this yet...

Aah! Izuku couldn't be happier! His soulmate was just shy! That was it all along! Okay, reassure them, don't scare them off...
