Izuku is a quirkless, normal university student with a not so usual side job as the underground most prolific and most saught info broker Deku.

It was a sunny afternoon and Izuku decided it'd be a great day for a stroll in the park. The new year had just started so classes were just introduction lessons right now, giving him some free time. Ah, the life of a university student! He was halfway through his degree already, having a dorm room near campus in order to get there on time.

Besides, his dorm was also located in a sketchy neighborhood, which was perfect for his...side job, to call it that. As far as he knew, no one at uni knew about that part of him. Only those who needed someone like him ended up at his door. A good rep and some rumors will do that, you know? Izuku sighed, sitting down on a bench and pulling out a book from his bag.

He liked getting lost in stories, definitely stories in which quirks weren't a thing or they didn't matter. You see, he is quirkless, just like a minority of the world population. At first he'd been miserable, angry too maybe. But he had come to terms with the fact his power didn't lay in something people call a quirk. No, his power is his brain! His smarts are what made him successful and he didn't need anything else!

"Excuse me, but are you the one they call Deku?"

"Depends... Who's asking?" Izuku muttered, looking up from his book. Before him stood Eraserhead and Present Mic, the first leading the conversation. They were dressed in civilian clothes, as if not to stand out. He wasn't exactly impressed. His side job had lead to him meeting several heroes, politicians, even assassins and some villains. Some big shots, some smaller ones. Does it really matter in the end? As long as he gets paid, it's all good.

"Should we just call you Midoriya Izuku then?" Eraser asked, making Izuku close his book. He always used the nickname Deku when dealing with these kinds of situations, nobody had ever known his real name. Why would they? Midoriya Izuku was just a quirkless nobody...
"What do you want?" Izuku asked with a glare, putting his book blindly back in his bag.

"We require your services for a particular case" Aizawa answered, knowing the green head would respond when being called by his real name.
"Hmm... Okay, let's talk" Izuku hummed, picking up his bag and starting to walk away without another word. The two pro's followed him towards a small coffee shop, seemingly popular with the students of the nearby university.

The green head ordered a drink, seeing Aizawa also order a coffee. Black. Not surprising.
"What's the general situation?"
"A missing pro hero. We have reason to suspect villains have taken him" Eraserhead spoke as they sat down at a remote table. Mic didn't seem to talk much... He probably didn't have any experience dealing with people like Izuku. Eraser was an underground hero, so he knew the business Izuku was in.

That's probably also how he heard of Deku in the first place. Yeah, the green head was sure that they had backup surrounding this shop at the moment. Police, maybe? Or heroes dressed up as civilians? This were teachers at UA after all. They tend to take a lot of precautions...
"Local, regional, national or international?"
"National" Aizawa said, making Izuku raise a brow.

A national known hero was missing and the news hadn't covered it yet? Strange... Something was up with this case and Izuku didn't like it. He grabbed a napkin and a pen from his bag, writing down a number.
"It's a standard price considering the work and risks" he stated, sliding it down towards the two men.

"But it can increase if I bump into some...unpleasantries on the way. Such as, I don't know, villains, kidnappers, murderers..."
Dealing with criminals was a pain in the ass and he deserved hazard pay, at least in his eyes. Mic's eyes widened at the price, glancing between Izuku and Shouta.
"We're not really paying him this right?" he whispered in shock.
