Mirio x Takami

Basically Mirio meets Midoriya and his big brother mode gets activated. Izuku helps him get together with Tamaki too.

Mirio was jogging through the park near his home, building up his body for when he applied to UA next year. He was in his last year of middle school so high school was coming up soon and everyone in his class was getting ready to give it their best shot. Togata slowed down a little when he noticed a green haired boy crying on a bench next to the path.

He seemed younger. His body a bit scrawny and crawled in on itself, as if he was hiding away from the world. Mirio noticed the middle school uniform. It was from a local middle school, if he remembered correctly.

"Not feeling well?"

Izuku's arms flailed around as he yelped, taken aback by the sudden question. His face was tearsstained. It had been another rough day at school today... Kacchan never lets up, does he? His insults get more and more creative as well... Guess he had the practice and experience to make anything work...

"Wanna talk about it?" Mirio asked, a smile on his face. Midoriya wiped hos tears and sniffled as the blonde sat down next to him.
"J-just...a rough day at school" he muttered, not making eye contact with Mirio at all.
"A rough day? Well, I guess not every day can be a good day... That way you wouldn't appreciate the nice things in life!" Togata smiled. Izuku forced out a chuckle at that.

"G-guess that's true..."
"See! You're already smiling again!" Mirio smiled, patting Izuku on the back.
"So what happened? Talking always helps me"
Midoriya fidgetted with his hands and took a shaky breath.
"I-I, uhm, I'm quirkless, you see..."

Infortuntely, Togata already knew enough with that. Quirkless kids were bullied more often than not. It's a shame, really... This boy seemed like a good kid, but the world can be a cruel place.
"Oh? So what?" Mirio shrugged, making Midoriya's eyes widen.
"Mirio Togata by the way. What's your name?"

"M-Midoriya Izuku... Uhm, if you don't mind me asking, a-are you-?"
"I'm not quirkless, no. Actually, I'm trying to become a hero!" Togata smiled.
"Really?" Izuku gasped, his inner fanboy surfacing.
"What's your quirk? I bet it's really powerful if you can become a hero with it!"

His smile fell a bit as he scratched his cheek. At least Kacchan's quirk was powerful... He had everything to become a powerful hero, to make it in the world.
"At first glance, you wouldn't really think so" Mirio chuckled.
"But I'm not giving up because the road is hard! People like us need to get creative, smart, you know? We don't give up because of a little set back like a rough day"

"Y-yeah... You're right!" Izuku nodded with a small smile.
"I-I actually want to be a hero too... But people say that's impossible because I' quirkless"
"Hmm... I've never seen a quirkless hero before" Mirio hummed, making Midoriya's hopes dwindle down.
"Doesn't mean you can't be the first!"

"R-really? You think I can do it?" Izuku gasped with big eyes.
"You can't know unless you try, right?" Mirio smiled.
"Anyway, I should get going and finish my run! Can't slack off on my training, you know? You should head home as well, it's getting late and I'm sure your parents are getting worried"

"O-oh, uh, right!" Midoriya exclaimed, quickly scrambling up from his seat.
"Thank you for the conversation, Mirio-san. Maybe we'll see each other again some day?"
"Yeah, I'd love to" Togata smiled, waving off the green head as he hurried home while muttering something about not knowing it was already this late and his mom being worried sick. Yeah, Midoriya really did seem like a good kid... Mirio hoped he could live up to his dreams and find happiness in life.
