Reader insert Traitor au! You are the daughter of pro heroes Eraserhead and Present Mic, younger sister of Shinsou Hitoshi, who got adopted when you were 4 years old. Now your brother is 15 and you're 12.

ANGST

"Oshi! Oshi! When are dad and papa coming home?" you asked, bouncing up and down on the couch as your older brother studied at the kitchen table.
"I don't know (Y/n)" he groaned, pulling at his purple hair.
"Now please stay quiet! I have to study for a big test tomorrow, you know this"
"Sorry..." you pouted, looking back at your drawing. You finished four drawings already and coloured them in with every crayon in your pack.

Papa always says you're a natural and you really like drawing too. But it didn't cheer you up tonight. No. There was this darkness lingering in the air, like a cold void. An omnious feeling, like something bad had happened. You sighed, getting up and walking over to your brother. He glanced up but didn't speak as he focussed on his book again. He still had his original last name while you already switched over to Aizawa. Shinsou. Huh, you've always wondered why he never changed it. Every time you ask, you're left without an answer.

"Oshi, why do you insist on keeping the name Shinsou?"

It was worth a shot, right?
"(Y/n), for the last time, let me study! This test is very important okay?"
"B-but-"
"No! Please just... Just go watch some video's online or chat with your friends, I don't care. If I fail this test, I can forget about transferring to the hero course"
Oh... Of course, the hero course... You know he wants to be a hero more than anything, just like your dads.

He'd do anything to get into the hero course and male his dream a reality. That's why dad has been helping him, training him with a scarf much like his own. Papa has been very supportive as well.
"Sorry... Just curious..." you muttered, rubbing your fingers along the wooden edges of the table while placing your head down on the surface. Bored...

"You know what-" Shinsou sighed, letting a hand go through his wild hair.
"-I need a break from studying. Besides, it doesn't seem like our dads are going to be hope any time soon so we should get started on dinner too"
"Oh! Oh! Oh! Can we order ramen?" you asked happily. Your older brother rolled his eyes and chuckled, giving you a small nod.
"Yeah, we can order ramen"

"Yes!"

"As for your question..." he sighed, making you give him a curious look.
"I don't want the last name of either of our dads because then the world will know I'm their son. I-I just... I don't want people seeing me as their failure... I don't want them threating me differently because they happen to be my dads. It would be unfair for everyone around me"
He sat down on the couch and you followed, seeing he was really down from talking about this.

"Nobody at school knows I'm their son, you know? My mistakes are my own, my friends are my own, my quirk is my own... But if people knew, all those things would be permanently compared to them. I just don't want that"
"Oh..." you mouthed. It made sense, in a way. He didn't want people to know because he'd get compare with your parents! Nobody can live up to their expectation! They're awesome! The best heroes ever! Or at least in your eyes.

"I just don't want to drag them down..." Hitoshi mumbled, closing his eyes as he leaned back. That last bit made you frown though.
"What do you mean? Drag them down?"
He glanced at you before looking away, trying to shrug it off. No, not gonna happen! He made you curious so now you gotta know!
"Oshi~!" you whined, pulling at his arm.
"Tell me~!"

"I'm just not good enough, okay?!" he hissed, pushing you away as he got back up.
"I... I'm not good enough... I don't deserve them as my parents and neither do I deserve you as my sister... I'm just a freak anyway. An outcast with a villainous quirk for crying out loud! What am I even thinking? I'll never be good enough to be a hero! I-I'll never be able t-to make them proud!"
