Hacking the System

After Midoriya is refused by UA, he finds comfort in his not so legal hobby: hacking.

Izuku cried as he ran home. After studying so hard for the UA entrance exam-! After getting a 100% score-! And they still didn't let him take the practical because he's quirkless! Kacchan was right, wasn't he..? Midoriya could never become a hero without a quirk... He fiddled with the key to the apartment, letting out a frustrated cry as he couldn't get it right since his vision was blurry and his hands were trembling.

After a few tries, he finally got it and entered his home. He dropped his bag and ran towards his room instantly, falling down on his bed like a sobbing mess. His mom wouldn't be home until later today so she wasn't there to comfort him as he cried. Why did this have to happen to him..? Why is he born quirkless? Powerless? Unable to fulfill his life long dream... He wiped away his tears, snuggling as he hugged his pillow. Izuku pouted as he stared at his desk on the other side of the room.

Maybe his hobby will cheer him up? Well, it wasn't really a legal hobby, hence nobody knowing about it, but still... He heaved himself out of his bed and closed his door, grabbing a tissue and blowing his nose before sitting down as his desk and tossing the tissue in the trash. He started up his pc, wondering what he should challenge himself with to get his mind off things. You see, he's a self thought hacker.

Not that he ever commited any serious crimes beside that. He mostly hacks just for the fun of it, not doing anything with the information. It's also a wake-up call for the other side, making them secure their serves better. He huffed, having decided on a target. UA High school. he cracked his fingers and started going to work. It was surprisingly not that hard... It concerned him that UA's virtual security was worse than that of a supermarket chain...

After about an hour, he had access to the live footage of the practical part of the entrance exam. Holy shit! He was skipping through different camera's on different battle grounds, seeing things were wild out there. So they were fighting robots huh? Seemed pretty hard... His eyes widened as he sawa familiar face and he instantly zoomed in.

"Hello there Kacchan..." Izuku mumbled, his eyes following the movement of the ash blonde feral gremlin as he destroyed bot after bot. He was absolutely acing this exam... Shouldn't be suprised, he's Kacchan after all... Deku continued to click through some images, ending up with some kind of score list. The first collum showed names, the second one numbers. The numbers were constantly changing though and the rows were shifting accordingly.

Wait... Are these live scores of the practical exam?! His eyes shot to the top, a sigh leaving his lips when he noticed Katsuki's name contantly shift within the top three.
"Of course... Kacchan is amazing after all" Midoriya muttered, still a little shocked to see people were destroying bots at such rapid speed. Maybe it was really for the best he didn't participate..?

He frowned, going back to the camera footage, trying to convince himself of their judgement. He would've been seriously injured. He could've died even! How is UA allowed to hold these kind of entrance exams?! But then Izuku remembered Recovery Girl, the backbone and headnurse of the school. She could heal almost everything instantly, after all. Hmm, he doesn't really know the ins and outs of her quirk, UA doesn't give a lot information about the quirks of their staff.

An idea brought a smile to Izuku's face as he hacked into the teacher's files and saved the quirk information on his pc as the fanboy he is. Not like he was anything with the information, but he could still squeal about it, couldn't he? That evening, he and his mom hugged and talked about what happened that day. They cried together and watched some old All Might movie.
