A reverse!au where Midoriya was born with the quirk pyrokinesis and Bakugou was deemed quirkless.

People aren't created equal, that's the harsh truth kids learn at the age of 4. The age when quirks develop and invisible ranks are determined. It was an exciting time for most, a time of self discovery and development.
"Kacchan! Kacchan!" Midoriya yelled excitedly as he ran towards the ash blonde.
"I got my quirk yesterday!"
"Really? What is it? Show me! Show me!" Bakugou shouted, smiling wildly.

"Mommy used a difficult word, I-I don't remember... But I can control fire!"
"That's so cool!" Katsuki exclaimed.
"But Kacchan's quirk will be even more awesome! And then we'll definitely be heroes together!" Izuku smiled as the two boys happily started planning for the future. He scoffed at the memory as he grabbed his bag and put on his shoes. That happened years ago...

He was already a teenager now, going through his last year of middle school. Yet that memory left a bitter taste in his mouth... That's when everything changed, wasn't it? Not much after, he went to visit a doctor to see what quirk he'd develop since he was running late. Only to find out he would never ever get one... His dreams of being a pro hero with Deku were shattered in an instant. Quirkless... Fucking quirkless!

Of course that green haired moron didn't seem to mind. 'I'll protect you Kacchan!'. That's what he said. It made him realise just what kind of worthless friend he really was. He'd only drag Deku down on his path to become a hero... It woud be better if they weren't friends anymore, then he wouldn't need to worry about a quirkless loser like him...

So he took his distance, he started secluding himself from his classmates and focussed on school. He tried to forget his dream of becoming a hero and tried to find something else he could excel in. It wasn't easy and up until this point, he hadn't found anything that truly interested him as much as his passion for heroes did... Of course he was good at everything he tried, but being able to do something and liking it is a difference.

"Good morning Kacchan!" Izuku smiled as he passed the blond on their way to school. Katsuki scoffed, walking faster and ignoring the other the best he could. That stupid Deku... Always so damn determined... Yeah, Midoriya never seemed to get the hint, even after so many years... He's still trailing behind Bakugou, still following, still trying to restore their friendship without realising what broke it in the first place.

That day they spoke about future careers at school. Every dumbass wanted to become a hero of course, it was only natural. More than half had a useless quirk though, which was still better than no quirk at all, Katsuki noted. The only one he could see making it in the hero world was Midoriya though... The others just weren't cut for it. Yet it hurt to know that they still made more of a chance at getting in a hero course than he ever will... There are no quirkless heroes after all...

"So Bakugou, what school are you trying for?" the teacher asked, going around in class. Most people has spoken the name UA with confidence, a few of them being laughed at for their ridiculousness.
"Don't know, don't care" the ash blonde mumbled.
"A course you'd like to follow?" the teacher pressed, annoyed with his attitude.

"Ugh... General Studies or something? The fuck if I know. We still have the entire damn year to decide, don't we?"
There were some mumbles in the class, mostly people making fun of Bakugou, stating quirkless losers like him couldn't make it into even the easiest hero course. Katsuki clenched his fists, growling silently. He knew that shit already! They didn't need to fucking rub it in his face all the damn time!

"Guys, leave Kacchan alone!"

Great... Now he's meddling too... Katsuki groaned, burying his head in his arms as he rested upon the desk.
"Ah, Midoriya, you're aiming for UA, right?" the teacher asked.
"Y-yes!"
Tch... Fucking Deku and his damn pyrokinesis... He wouldn't even pass the entrance exam if there is no fire nearby. Without a little flame, he's just a quirkless loser like him...
