Not a Quirk, a Kwami!

A/N Man it took me a long time to get this one out... Sorry for that! But exams are coming up and I have little time so it'll probably be a while before I post a one shot again XD

When Izuku saves the life of an old man, his life changes forever. Together with his new kwami, he becomes a vigilante dreaming of becoming a pro.

Izuku thought it was just another ordinary day, really. Bakugou pushed him around, once again reminding him how worthless a quirkless hero would be. He had a test at school, which went okay, and he went to the grocery store afterwards to get the things his mom asked of him. Yes, just an ordinary day. Nothing to indicate that day would change his life forever.

"Watch out!"

He pulled an old man from the street before a truck drove past them with high speed. Izuku stared with wide eyes, his breathing a tad bit louder than normal. His legs just moved on their own! If he hadn't done that, the old man would- The old man!
"Sir, are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"Yes, thank you young man" Wu answered, giving him a small smile.

"You should really look better before crossing the street, you know? Please be more careful in the future, okay?" Izuku asked, kneeling down to pick up the groceries he had dropped in such a hurry. He frowned as his eyes fell upon a hexagonal box.
"Oh, uhm, sir, I think you dropped-"
But when he looked up, the old man was nowhere in sight. Huh... He looked back down at the small box, seemingly a jewelry box.

He couldn't just leave it here, could he? Maybe he could still track that old man down and give it back to him? It was worth a shot, right? Izuku quickly gathered the fallen groceries and made his way home, putting everything away where it belonged before staring down at the box that was now placed on the kitchen counter. He'd never seen anything quite like it before... Izuku couldn't help but feel curious about the contents, even though it seemed pretty straight forward.

A fancy jewelry box is most likely to contain jewelry, right? He picked it up and opened it, flinching away as a bright light flashed before his eyes. As he blinked, he saw a small creature floating up from the box. It was white with blue accents and didn't quite look like anything Midoriya had ever seen before. Was it supposed to resemble a...bunny?

"Hello! My name is Fluff!" it exclaimed, making the green head yelp and stumble back in surprise. What the- What was that thing?!
"W-wha- What are you?" Izuku managed to ask, still holding his guard up. This had to be some kind of quirk, right? Maybe the old man's quirk? But what would that even mean? What kind of quirk could do this?
"I'm a kwami!" the creature smiled. Its voice sounded feminine, so guess it's a girl..?

"And you are chosen to be the holder of the rabbit miraculous!"
"T-the what?"
Fluff picked up the box, making the medaillon inside visible to the green head. It looked expensive!
"If you take it and say 'clockwise', you'll be able to transform!"
"Hold on- Wait what?!"
Izuku didn't understand what was happening at all!

Looking back on everything now, months after that encounter, he still didn't fully understand how this all happened. Not even when he was wearing a magical spandex bunny suit as he hopped from roof to roof. Ever since Fluff came into his life, they've been training together and Izuku was active as a vigilante known as Bunnyx. People had speculated about his quirk and he was sometimes mistaken for a pro hero due to his rather flashy outfit.

Yet he stil remained quirkless, not that that mattered to him all that much anymore. No, because with this power he could help people just like he always wanted! Maybe someday he could get a license and become a real pro hero? Oh, that would be a dream come true!
"Fluff, counter clockwise!"
He de-transformed as he jumped through the window of his bedroom, panting a little as he smiled at his kwami.
