Midoriya(Phoenix) x Iida(Edgeworth)

So, I just want to start this off by saying I have never ever seen or played any of this and all my knowledge is deprived from Wikipedia so their personalities are mostly deprived from Izuku and Tenya because I don't know how they actually act towards each other XD

After Iida was declared innocent, being free of a murder he didn't commit, he thanks Midoriya and starts to rethink his actions and whether or not he should continue down this path...

"Hey, everything alright?" Midoriya asked as he caught Iida at the coffee machine. The blue haired male was looking kind of down, despite having just been declared not guilty. Izuku didn't immediately get a response, neither did Tenya make eye contact with him. He'd always been a strict and stubborn prosecutor, getting frustrated by Midoriya's victories in court. Yet this newbe's skills had helped him out, saved him from prison...

"Don't tell you me you actually did it" Midoriya joked, nudging Iida, who stayed silent.
"You didn't do it, right?" the green head quickly added, now uncertain of his case even though he collected all the evidence himself.
"No, I didn't. I told you everthing already- You defended this case for Godsake!"

"S-sorry!" Midoriya squeaked out, a little unsure of how to approach him.
"Don't be... I should be the one apologizing. You accepted my case even though we haven't exactly been the friendliest with each other" Iida stated.
"Well, that's not really our fault, I mean, it's literally our job-"
"Don't say that! We are always at each other's throat!" Tenya hissed, pulling at his hair.

"I don't know whether I want to do this anymore..."

"What do you mean?" Midoriya asked, getting a little worried.
"Wait... You're not quiting the job, ate you?! Oh come on Iida! You can't do that! What about our banter in court huh? I know you like it at least as much as I do!"
Tenya frowned, taking his coffee and walking away without saying another word. Izuku frowned, watching him leave. He's not giving up on this so easily!

"Hey Iida! Wait up!"

The green head ran towards the stoic man, stepping up in front of him with a smile.
"Let's go grab a coffee together sometime!"
"What?" Iida asked confused.
"Yeah! You know, to get to know each other better? Maybe we can help each other with some cases while we're at it too! It'd be fun, right?"
They stared at each other for a few seconds as a frown found its way to Iida's face.

"Why?"

"Huh?"

"Why would you want to grab a coffee with me?" Iida clarified.
"Didn't you just hear what I said? We're not friends, nor good colleagues-"
"But that could change!" Midoriya smiled.
"Please~? I don't want you quiting the job because you suddenly pity me! What's a good case without a good challenge hm? Being a defense attorney won't be as much fun without you in the court and we both know it"

Tenya scoffed, taking a sip from his coffee before humming.
"Fine. I'll let you know when I'm available"
"Great! I'm looking forward to it!" Izuku smiled, waving him goodbye before leaving the courthouse.

...

A few days later, the two met up at a local coffee shop Midoriya picked out. He hoped it was up to Iida's standards, seeing as he seemed to be the kind to only drink coffee of the highest quality. It was awkward at first, for sure, but it got better after they started venting about tough cases and frustrating dead ends. They laughed and joked about some annoying people they met in court and actually got to know each other a little better.

Midoriya admitted that Iida was the one that made him realise he wanted to become a defense attorney in the first place. To help people who were wrongly accused of things and make sure the right person was held accounted for their actions. Iida told him that he grew a hatred for criminals and wanted to see them get punished.
"In the end, we both want the same" Izuku mused.
"Seeing bad people get punished"

Tenya hummed, sipping from his coffee.
"You were right... This outing went a lot better than I expected it to go"
"I'm glad to hear it" Midoriya chuckled.
"Anyway, I should get going. I have an appointment with a client. Uhm, guess I'll see you in court?"
Iida nodded, bidding him goodbye as they left the coffee shop and each went their way.

Their banter in court didn't ease up just because they were meeting each other outside of work now. Oh no, it was just as bad as before. But it became more playful than hurtful and they actually helped each other out from time to time. Their coffee dates changed to hanging out at a bar and one night Midoriya had to help a drunk Iida back to his home. Tenya's words were slurred and he leant onto the green head as Izuku opened up his front door.

Normally the blue haired prosecutor didn't drink that much, but they'd been celebrating tonight. Iida had won a particularly difficult case that day so they didn't have a reason not to.
"You know-" he started, searching for his words as Midoriya almost tumbled to the ground when Iida put his whole weight on the smaller man.
"-you're not so *hiccup* bad Midoriya..."

"Thanks..?" Izuku answered, a little unsure, guiding Tenya to his couch.
"You should drink some water and sober up. I'll go get some-"
"No~! Stay here~!" Iida whined, pulling Midoriya down on the couch with him. The green head was blushing furiously, trying to get up again. Yet Tenya's grip wasn't loosening up.
"I like you~" Tenya smiled, nuzzling into Midoriya's warmth as the latter blushed furiously.

"No, you don't. You're just drunk and you're going to be ashamed of yourself acting like this in the morning. Now let go of me so I can get you a cup of water"
"Since when are you the *hiccup* the sensible one" Iida complained, still not letting go. On the contrary, he snuggled closer, placing small kisses on Izuku's bare neck. The green head squeaked and froze up at the foreign feeling.

"I *hiccup* like you~" he repeated, drunkenly giggling afterwards. Midoriya must admit he was tempted to just give in to the situation. He'd been crushing on his colleague for some time now... But he knew Iida wouldn't want it and pushed him away when he felt his grip lost strength.

"No. We're talking about this in the morning, understand? I don't want to abuse this situation to get you and deep down you don't want that either" he lectured the other man, mentally cursing at how much Iida had influenced his behaviour.

...

The next morning was...awkward, to say the least. Midoriya figured out his way in the kitchen and found Iida some medicine for his headache before making breakfast. It wasn't anything special though.
"Thank you, uhm, for taking me home last night" Iida sighed as he rubbed his temple.
"No problem buddy. I slept here too so we'll just call it even, okay?" Midoriya stated, making Tenya hum.

"So, uhm, is your hangover getting any better?"
"A little... I'm never drinking again" Iida groaned, placing his head on the table and making Izuku laugh.
"I'm also sorry for the, uh, inappropriate things I did last night..."
"O-oh, uh..." Midoriya breathed, his face flushing red. Thank God the blue haired man wasn't paying attention!
"That's alright Iida. Nothing happened so there is nothing to regret"

Not that either of them would've regretted it if something happened that night... Guess those two oblivious idiots will dance around their feelings for a little while longer.
