Bakugou x Midoriya but not Midoriya x Bakugou if you know what I mean

Midoriya has loved Bakugou their whole childhood long. Up until the blonde takes it a step too far. And that right when Katsuki is starting to realise what Izuku means to him...

Midoriya always had a crush on Bakugou in middle school, even before that. The green head was just so hopelessly in love that he forgave the ash blonde for anything. All the misery and pain he was put through throughout the years... It was nothing compared to what he felt towards Katsuki... Well, up until a certain day, that is. The day his heart just couldn't take it anymore, the day Kacchan broke him...

He burned his notebook right in front of his face, a grin gracing his lips. Deku's notebook, something he put his life and soul into, something he cared about so much because it helped keeping his hope up. Hope that one day he might be a hero too... But Katsuki destroyed it. He burned it. It felt like the blonde destroyed his hopes and dreams with it... And then, as if that wasn't enough already, Bakugou told him to take a sawn dive off the roof... He told him to kill himself!

It was that day that Midoriya realised what kind of monster Katsuki truly was... His heart was shattered, his mind all over the place and his dream crushed... Yet... Why did he do it..? Why did he save him..? When he saw Kacchan struggling against the sludge villain that very same afternoon, he ran to his rescue without so much of a second thought. Why? That ash blonde had hurt him so much... Too much...

It's because that's what heroes do. And after meeting All Might, Izuku was determined to become just that. A hero. An amazing hero even, one that saves everyone with a smile! He didn't care about Bakugou anymore, or at least a whole lot less then before. Katsuki noticed and his bullying soon stopped completely. The truth is that the ash blonde realised something as well that day.

When Deku saved him... Bakugou had been so damn desperate to breathe and that nerd was the only one who did anything about it. The heroes just stood and watched! The ones that were supposed to protect him left him to die and the one he bullied and tormented came to his rescue! What a strange world we live in, am I right? It was then that Kacchan stopped his bullying and started to think about his life choices. Izuku didn't deserve the shit he threw at him... He never had...

So why? Why did he do it? He didn't know... He forgot how it all even started. They were friends when they were kids, right? So how come he was bullying him all of the sudden? Oh... Right... His quirk... Or in Deku's case, the lack thereof. Damnit! Bakugou had been beating himself up about it ever since that day. Why was he such an asshole?!

Slowly, but surely, the two had grown apart even more than they already had. They never saw each other outside of the classroom, not even on their way home or to school, even though they practically took the same route. Midoriya had started to train with All Might, not reacting anymore when people taunted him. The broccoli and dandelion didn't speak, nor looked at each other for months.

That was up until Katsuki decided this bullshit had gone on long enough. He needed to apologize to Izuku for his shitty behaviour and hope on forgiveness. Because in those months Bakugou had realised how much he missed having the green head around. How much he wanted to be near him again. Maybe even as more than just friends... Yes, you heard it right folks, Katsuki Bakugou is gay for Izuku Midoriya. Yet he already knew he messed up his chances big time. It wouldn't surprise him if Deku hated him...

"Midoriya?"

Classes had just ended and everyone was leaving, chatting about what they would do that weekend. Izuku stopped packing his bag for a second as he glanced up at the blonde in front of him. Hearing him call him by his actual name sure was a surprise, but that didn't mean he cared.
"What do you want Bakugou?" he asked, continuing to grab his things and getting ready to go to the beach to start his training. He didn't want to miss his train and be late. All Might would lecture him for being tardy.
