Bakugou x Midoriya (friends)

Midoriya jumped, not expecting Bakugou to be only person left he could talk to.

Bakugou hadn't thought much of what he said to Deku when he destroyed that stupid notebook. He never really thought a lot about any of the things he spat at the green head. If he did, he would've realised how wrong and harsh his words truly were, even if he didn't mean it in the slightest. The blonde frowned as he walked past the pond after school, seeing the old, burned notebook, soaking wet and drifting in the water. Disgusting...

Yet he couldn't help but pick it up, placing it on the edge so it could dry in the dim sunlight. He knew that Midoriya would be looking for it anyway, and it was his fault it was in this condition, so it was the least he could do. That was before he saw it... Saw the nerd standing on the edge of the roof. His eyes widened and his heartbeat increased. Izuku wasn't going to do what he thought he was going to do, right?!

But before he had the time to shout at the green head to stop, to step back and don't do it, it was already to late... He watched Deku fall from stories high, his body hitting the ground with an incredible speed. Katsuki's breath hitched, stuck in his throat. He was unable to move or speak. Frozen. It took a moment to calm down from the initial shock, before he called an ambulance, knowing it was already too late.

The police was informed afterwards and Bakugou was questioned about what happened. He was Inko wail her eyes out as she arrived on the scene, his own mother there to comfort her. Mitsuki didn't give that much attention to her son, knowing her best friend needed her in that moment. Katsuki didn't blame her. Besides, he didn't want her fussing over him anyway. Not now, not when he was responsible...

When everything was over, he wandered back to the pond, seeing the notebook where he left it. But in the dim evening light of the setting sun, he also saw a hunched figure sitting on the opposite side of the path. They were crying, legs pulled up to their chest and their face hidden in their knees. They were looking pale, almost transparent in a way. That must be a trick of the light... Bakugou walked past them without giving too much attention and grabbed the notebook. He was sure auntie Inko would want it since it belonged to her son...

"K-Kacchan..?"

The ash blonde middle schooler froze up at hearing that childish nickname being called by such a fragile and familiar voice.
"W-why is everyone i-ignoring me..?" he sobbed as Bakugou slowly turned around.
"They... They don't see me...o-or hear me..."
There he was, that hunched figure, a little freckled face peaking over those knees, staring at the ground.
"...Am I really dead? Is this what it feels like..?"

Katsuki watched the little figure in shock, seeing it was indeed Deku that was talking to him.
"I'm really a dumb dumb" he muttered, letting out a shallow laugh.
"Thinking my problems would go away if I was gone... But now I have to see mom suffer a-and I can't h-help her!"
He started crying harder again, his body shaking. Bakugou wanted to reach out, to tell him he could see and hear him. But he just had to be interrupted...

"Oi brat! It's getting late, we're going home" Mitsuki said, marching up to him. It was clear that she'd cried, but she was trying to keep up a tough front. The woman didn't seem phased by the crying boy, not even looking at him once. It made Katsuki wonde if he really was the only one who could see him...
"You...don't see him?" the ash blonde asked quietly, staring at the ghost boy in front of him.

"See who Katsuki? There is nobody else here" his mother stated, frowning. Izuku looked up at the question, his eyes filled with hope as he quickly crawled up.
"K-Kacchan? Kacchan, y-you see me? C-can you hear me? Kacchan, please, answer me! Don't ignore me, please!"
The blonde didn't respond as his mom dragged him along. Mitsuki was worried, seeing her son act so off. She thought that maybe it was this place... After what happened here today it was only normal...

Deku ran behind them, clinging onto Bakugou's arm as he followed them. It send a chilling feeling through his whole body, but he tried to supress it. When alone, Katsuki would softly talk to the spirit, discovering that Izuku had been planning on killing himself for some time before the actual event and that Katsuki's words had only confirmed his own thoughts. It didn't make the ruby eyed boy feel any better about the situation though...

They learned that he was the only one who could still see or hear him, but they had no idea why. On the second day, it also became clear that Midoriya was still able to interact with his surroundings, scaring the shit out of the Bakugou's when they found thigs flying in their house. On day four, Katsuki did his best to explain what had been happening, that Izuku was still with them in a way.

That was the same day they got an invitation to the funeral... Deku had cried, wailed, making the whole house feel cold. When he finally calmed down, he was determined to write his mom a letter to explain why he did what he did and that nothing was her fault. He also wrote down how Kacchan was still able to see him and that the blonde had agreed to be his interpreter if his mom wished to speak with him.

After the funeral, Katsuki approached Inko, giving her a weak smile.
"Hey auntie... I have something for you" he breathed, taking the letter from his pocket but not handing it to her right away. He let Izuku take it, making it seem like it was floating over to her. The green haired woman was confused, knowing she wasn't using her quirk in that moment. She had cried while reading the letter, recognizing her son's messy handwriting.

The next few days the Midoriya and Bakugou family spend together, Katsuki functioning as Deku's translator whenever the boy wanted to say something. The two childhood friends were joined at the hip after that, never spending time apart. Midoriya analysed Bakugou's training and suggested ways to improve his attacks and strengthen his quirk. He was with him as he trained for UA, as he took the entrance exam and anxiously waited for the results.

Izuku was so happy for his friend, yet so sad that his dream of going to UA had shattered before he even had a chance to try... Katsuki called him out on his bullshit, stating that the nerd would just come to UA with him and he could follow all the lessons as if he were there. It did lead to a lot of questions on the first day of UA, seeing as there was an empty desk behind the blonde with a spare notebook and a pen taking notes.

"Oh my God! I didn't know there was another invisible person in class!" Hagakure exclaimed, excited.
"Tch, he's not fucking invisible you stupid extra! Deku is a damn ghost!" Bakugou barked at her.
"And how do you know his name huh?" Uraraka asked confused.
"Because he is here with me, damn round cheeks. That bastards has been haunting me ever since middle school" Katsuki reacted, hearing rapid writing behind him as Izuku held up his not book.

That's not nice of you Kacchan! >:(

"You don't have to be so mean to them! They're your new classmates" the green head pouted, not that anyone else could hear.
"Ugh, fuck off Deku" he groaned as people fussed over their ghostly classmate. Izuku tried to answer all their questions but he could only write that fast and had a limited amount of paper.

"I have an idea! Give me a moment" Yaoyorozu smiled as she turned around, opening up her school uniform to create something with her quirk. A minute later, a tablet was placed on Midoriya's desk.
"Now you can type! Isn't that better?" Momo asked.
Thank you so much! Deku typed out, smiling and giggling like an idiot.
"Kacchan! Look! I can talk, watch this" he smiled, letting the device pronounce his sentence out loud.

"Whatever" the ash blonde muttered, not liking the fact he had to share the green haired nerd from now on. Yet he was still the only one that could see him, the only person capable of talking to him without needing something extra. That thought at least made him feel a tiny bit superior.
