Dabi x Hawks

!! MANGA SPOILERS !! (In a way but not really)

The halls are so white, it's almost blinding. There is no decoration, no unnecessary furniture or fancy paintings on the wall. The man behind me is stoic, a strong build and his face neutral. We stop at a plain white door, which slides open easily to reveal a two bed bedroom. The sheets are white, so were the walls, the floor, the ceiling. There was one closet and one window. Bet it's reinforced... They wouldn't want us getting out of here at any cost, so it seems.

"Hawks, meet your new roommate. Hopefully he'll last longer than your previous one" the man grunts before closing the door behind me. Rude...
"Hi! I'm Keigo Takami!" the winged boy introducés himself instantly, a bright smile on his face.
"Oh, right, I guess we're not supposed to use our real names..."
"Todoroki Touya" I answered, giving him a small grin.
"Let's keep it our little secret, okay?"

...

"Dabi? Are you okay?"
The black haired man blinked, rubbing his eye as he looked at the blonde hero laying partially on top of him in the bed.
"You were dozing off, did I really tire you out already huh~" he teased, poking his cheek.
"Oh fuck off, it was just an old memory popping up" he mumbled, pushing the winged man off him.

Ever since Hawks was aiding the League of Villains, the two of them had started to fool around with each other. Neither of them spoke about their past but Touya was absolutely sure that Keigo remembered. They used to be friends in that institution. A special sort of training camp where they drill kids into heroes. Most people didn't make the cut or just cracked under the pressure. Dabi ran away with the help of Hawks. Endeavor wasn't too happy about that... Was fun to see him rage though.

"So what's on the planning for today? Some more boring meetings?" Hawks asked.
"You just have to spread the word, I am the one that suffers in those meetings" Dabi stated as he got up.
"Yeah, I know... Good luck sweetheart, I have a shift in 10 minutes, gotta fly"
With that, the bird got up and dressed, out of the room in an instant. Touya sighed, falling back on the bed.

Hawks was supposed to be their inside man in the hero commission, but Dabi had the feeling he was a double agent for them... Not that he cared all that much for it though. The fact they know about their plans didn't mean they could stop what was coming. With a yawn, he crawled out of bed and started his day.

I flinch whenever Keigo touches my skin. It's sensitive after the harsh training of today. I had to use my quirk a lot and now I have burns all over.
"Sit still" Keigo mumbles as he applies the burn cream. Bandages lay sprawled out around us on the bed as the winged boy helps me. He is kind and sweet and has such hopeful eyes... He really wants to be a hero, doesn't he?

I'm not sure about that fate anymore... I'm thinking about leaving, but dad will be mad. I'm more afraid of his rage than the rigerous training in this institute.
"I know it hurts but it'll get better, I promise!"
"My quirk's genetics aren't going to change, Keigo... It'll always hurt"
The blonde looks up at me and for the first time I can see his hope fading away.

"You don't want to be a hero, do you?"
"It hurts"
"I-I know but-"
"I didn't ask for this, Keigo... My father is forcing me into this. I'd much rather be at home play with my siblings"
He lets out a small laugh, glancing aside at our drawings that we pinned onto the wall with some feathers. Luckily they don't check our rooms that often, so we can get away with these little useless decorations and personal items.
