Guardian Demon

Katsuki Bakugou was an angel who watched humans a lot. Yet one day he gets attached to a certain green head and swears he'll protect him from all harm.

It's been three years now, Katsuki thought. Three years since he saw this little scrawny green head get bullied behind a school building. The blonde never really interfered with human business before that day. He was more the observant type anyway. But the way that kid seemed to look at him, as if pleading for help... That was all in his head, obviously, there was no way Izuku would've seen him.

Yet there was an instant connection with the boy and Bakugou swore that he would protect that little bean even if it kills him. He never showed himself to Midoriya, don't wanting the green head to think that Katsuki was doing all the work. Yet he did show himself to others, to threaten them and make them scared. Nobody will ever lay a hand on his human!

"You know, you're more like a guardian demon than an angel" a walking skeleton of a human stated as they watched Midoriya drag trash across the beach. Bakugou liked this human, he helped Izuku get stronger.
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"You stay invisible to him, yet scare off anyone who comes near him. It's like he's made a deal with the devil" All Might chuckled.

"Besides, you can be quite scary. Aren't angels supposed to be nice?"
"Fuck off skeleton" Katsuki huffed, scowling.
"Angels aren't supposed to come down from heaven either and here I am, ain't I?"
"True" the man shrugged, seeing his pupil struggle.
"Come on young Midoriya! Feel those muscles burn!"
"Oh I can feel them burning alright..." the teenage boy muttered as he pulled at the heavy chest.

"Say... Why do you never show yourself to him? He could use the mental support, you know"
"Yeah... It's just... What if he doesn't want me?" Katsuki asked, sighing.
"I'm just a random person getting involved in his life! He could be totally freaked out by all of this!"
"I'm sure he'll be fine, young Bakugou"
"Tch. Whatever, just make sure the nerd gets into UA or I'll kill you"

Of course Deku made it into UA, the blonde didn't expect anything else. Although he did have to intervene in the entrance exam, making sure that round face girl was awake and able to use her quirk on time for the green head to survive. The first day of school Katsuki instantly made clear he was in charge of anyone who came even remotely close to his Deku.

Others tried asking Midoriya about it but the boy didn't seem to understand what they were talking about at all. No, Izuku seemed completely ignorant towards the blonde that was always trailing him and neither the teachers made any comment about it. So they just went with it, trying to ignore him as well. Which wasn't all that easy, let me tell you that. It wasn't until the Sportsfestival someone noticed something was up.

Kirishima had seen it very clearly in the battle between Midoriya and Todoroki. Bakugou had flown over there and protected Izuku with an invisible barrier. The green head didn't get hit with the blast that much but Todoroki was badly due to the sheer force of it. Kirishima frowned, observing the angry blonde more and more. He swore he saw wings at the Sportsfestival. Angel wings! He just needed to prove it...

"Oi! Don't stare at Deku like that shitty hair!" Katsuki hissed, glaring at the red head.
"Hmph? Oh, I wasn't staring at him dude. I was staring at you" Eijirou shrugged. He made sure his voice was quite since it seemed not everyone could see him at every given moment. It would look stupid to people if he was just talking to himself, right?
"Me? The hell?" the blonde scowled, crossing his arms.

"What the fuck do you want?"

"Are you even real? It seems to me that Midoriya has never even heard of you"
Bakugou's eyes widened and he glanced back at his human, chatting happily with Uraraka and Iida, his best friends.
"Tch, of course I'm real you hair for brains!"
"So why are you invisible to some people? Midoriya has never seen you, has he?"

Bakugou was taken aback by the boldness of this human. He clenched his fists and scowled, doing his best to restrain himself.
"That's none of your fucking business!"
With that the angry blonde vanished in thin air, leaving a flabbergasted Kirishima. Okay, now he certainly had to find answers! And he had just the plan!

"Wow! The view really is amazing up here!" Izuku exclaimed from the top of the building. Eijirou has taken him here, smiling at the fact the winged blonde male had been screaming at him to stop.
"Yeah I know right! You should look closer to the edge, we're really high up"
"No! Nope! Nada! You should definitely NOT go to the edge!" Katsuki yelled, pulling at his hair.

"Isn't that, I don't know, dangerous?" Midoriya asked.
"YES! Oh thank God you've got common sense Deku!"
"Oh no, it's completely safe! The railings are as sturdy as I am! You've got my word" Kiri smiled, guiding Midoriya to the edge. The red head knew this was safe, otherwise he'd never bring Midoriya up here. But Katsuki didn't know that~!
"It's amazing, isn't it?"

"I, uhm, I have a bit of an uh fear of heights, you know?"
"What? Come on Midoriya! A hero isn't afraid of anything!"
"What the hell do you think you're doing?! He's obviously uncomfortable!"  Bakugou exclaimed.
"Try to stop me" Ei smirked.
"Who are you talking to?" Izuku asked confused.
"Apparently, no one" the red head smiled, laughing at the fact the blonde seemed to boil with anger, pulling at his hair.

"Leave. Him. ALONE!"

Wings sprung up from his back. Majestic angel wings of white feathers. It was beautiful...
"You little shitty haired bastard! I'm teach you-!"
He grabbed Kirishima by the collar and held him dangling over the edge, making the red head squirm and squeak. Midoriya gasped, grabbing a hold of Katsuki's arm and pulling at it, tears in his eyes.

"No! Kacchan, stop it! Let him go!"

The blonde froze up and stared at the smaller green head.
"Izuku..."
"P-please put me down!" Kiri squeaked, being tossed aside by the angel. Katsuki carefully stepped closer to the green head, his breathing hitching.
"Y-you can see me? You... Wait? Kacchan?"
Izuku was tearing up, water rolling down over his freckled cheeks as he sobbed.

"Of course I can see you silly! I-I've been seeing you ever since the start of middle school! A-at first only in reflections... B-but after a-a while I... I could see you... I c-can't always seem t-to hear you though"
A small smile broke through the tears, a sad chuckle filling the tense atmosphere.
"You have the habit of talking to yourself, you know? J-just like me!"

"Y-you... All this time you've been able to see me a-and... And you didn't say anything? You just let me follow you without question?" Kacchan breathed in shock and surprise.
"I didn't want to chase you away..." Izuku whispered.
"Y-you looked so scared of me finding o-out and...and you're my b-best friend! I-I don't ever wanna lose you Kacchan!"

The blonde was astonished. All this time he wanted to protect his fragile human from within the shadows, all while that stupid dimwit could actually see him... Wait. Best friend..?
"Y-you're also my best friend, my small Deku" he grinned, ruffling the wild green hair.
"You know, with the right training you could become a decent hero" Kirishima shrugged while dusting off his clothes.
"I mean, I don't understand how Aizawa doesn't see you but I bet he'd let you join the course!"

"Tch, eraserjerk can see me just fine, just like all the other damn teachers" Katsuki hissed, surprising the two boys.
"It started with All Might though... He convinced me to tell them so they wouldn't freak out or some shit like that"
"So, uhm, what are you exactly anyway? Are you haunting Midoriya or something?" Eijirou asked, still confused about it.

"No! I'm a fucking angel, you damn idiot! A guardian angel to be precise! Well, I, uhm, I became a guardian angel after taking Izuku under my wing"
The blonde gave a small smile as he stared at the green head.
"And I'm never ever letting you go again, got it nerd?"
"I wouldn't want it any other way Kacchan!"
