Lost Chance Pt. 2

Maybe things aren't lost after all

Izuku frowned as he walked past a closed off classroom. It had a 'no entry' sign on the door, which was weird seeing as he had math in that classroom. Maybe something broke down? Wouldn't surprise him to be honest... It was the same room Bakugou had his rage fit... But the blonde always made a point not to damage the school's property. It could end up on his school record, something that was absolutely spotless so far.

Yes, on paper he was perfect... So, so perfect... It disgusted Midoriya to no end. How could people be so blind?! He sighed, going to his first class of the day, English. Izuku quickly noticed Katsuki's empty desk. Normally he was always early... It wasn't until class started that he heard from the teacher that Bakugou wouldn't be coming to school today. They didn't give any explanation though, which made Midoriya suspiscious of what was happening.

Did something bad happened to Bakugou..? Midoriya didn't like this... He'd been thinking about what Katsuki told him yesterday. That he was sorry, that he wanted to make up for his mistakes... Not that he would ever be able to repay him for the hurt he has caused. But it was a nice thought, wasn't it..? And he did sound sincere...

Yet Deku had been an absolute jerk and cut him off before he was able to finish. He yelled at him... He cursed! Izuku never cursed! Bakugou brought up the worst in him... Something in him just snapped whenever he saw the explosive teen. Another part wanted to forgive him and be friends, like he always wanted in the past. Before...before he broke him...

Meanwhile Katsuki was staring down on his bandaged arms, all blasted up from quirk overuse... A teacher had found him after his parents called the school and someone went to check. The ash blonde didn't remember much of how he got to the hospital. The doctors said something about damaged veins and scar tissue within his arms, but he hadn't really listened. The only thing he knew was that his arms hurt like shit and he was tired as hell. His eyes were heavy but he was unable to sleep. Certainly when they let his parents in for a visit...

"Katsuki!"

He glanced up, only to be smothered by his mother. A loud yelp of pain escaped his lips without him wanting to, making her pull back almost instantly.
"I-I'm so sorry! I didn't want to hurt you-"
His parents both looked so worried... He bit his lip, glaring down at his arms again. Even the damn old hag was apologizing...

"We thought you were doing better" his dad said, carefully coming closer and sitting down next to the bed. He had always been the calmer one of the two. When in need of advise about emotions and stuff, Katsuki always went to him instead of his mom.
"After those classes... What happened? What triggered it?" he asked, making Katsuki clench his fists. It send a burning pain through his arms, making his arms tremble and shake, but he didn't care about that right now.

"Son, stop hurting yourself... We're just talking, there is no need to stress yourself out" Masaru sighed, placing a hand on Katsuki's shoulder. Mitsuki walked over to the window, watching her husband talk sense into their son. She was never one to be soft with the boy, calling him out on his bullshit when she had to. She was one for tough love, not this kind of stuff.
"We talked to the doctor. This was one of your worst attacks yet... Why don't you want to tell us what caused it? We won't get mad, you know that"

Katsuki remained silent, tears stinging in his eyes at the memories. Izuku was right... He was a jerk, an asshole, a monster. How could he ever dream of becoming a hero when he couldn't even see he was breaking an innocent boy right before his very eyes?! He choked out a small cry, tears rolling down his cheeks. He dropped his fists, letting his hands lay limply in his lap. How could he ever look at his parents, knowing what he had done?! No matter what the old man said, they'll hate him for sure! It was their damn right to hate him... To be disappointed of bringing such an arrogant bastard to the world...
