Based on the anime Kakegurui, a school where your position is based on your gambling skills. Those at the bottom are treated like pets, while those at the top reign supreme.

"Oi Deku! Get the fuck over here!"
"Y-yes Kacchan!" Midoriya squeaked, walking over to the ash blonde with his head down. Bakugou has treated the green head like his pet ever since his status changed and nobody ever argued about it. Midoriya Izuku was his possession now, like it was never any different. The truth was that Izuku was great at gambling, but someone cheated him, making him lose a lot of money.

And since his family isn't super rich, he didn't have any funds to back it up, making him strand at the very bottom of the ranking, defining him as 'pet'. Katsuki, on the other hand, wasn't just great at gambling, he also came from a rich family. This made him one of the persons to beat if you ever wanted to make a name for yourself here. It's no miracle he was part of the student council...

In their year, only three others had the same appeal as Bakugou. Namely Todoroki Shoto, Yaoyorozu Momo and Iida Tenya. Those were the richest and highest ranked players amongst the first years.
"Icyhot invited me for a game of cards so dress nicely" the blonde growled, grabbing the dark green messy hair and pulling Deku's head up.

"I know that ponytail girl and glasses are gonna be there too. He has something planned so be prepared for anything and no matter what happens, you stick by my side, understood?"
"Yes Kacchan" the broccoli spoke with a tiny voice.
"Good" the blonde smirked.
"Meet me in the Todoroki gambling chamber up on the fourth floor at 8 tonight"

This left Izuku to wonder what the youngest Todoroki son wanted. His siblings all went to this high school as well, his older sister still in her last year here. Their family possessed a lot of power and they were all great gamblers. But never had they actively engaged in games with people of their rank or above. Sure, if they were challenged, they mostly didn't refuse. But requesting a game like Shoto was doing now... It was strange... Does he have something to prove, perhaps? What is he planning? Katsuki was right to be on guard...

Like the blonde requested, Izuku dressed up for the occasion, waiting for Bakugou at the door of the Todoroki gambling chamber at exactly 8pm. He recalled them being friends when they were younger, since his mom worker as a cleaning lady in the Bakugou household. The two of them played a lot together and learned to gamble against each other at pretty young ages. Katsuki had always been better than him though...

"Tch, good, you're here" Bakugou grunted as he arrived.
"Anyone else here yet?"
"Nobody arrived while I was waiting, but knowing Iida he'll already be inside. I don't know about Yaoyorozu though" Midoriya answered, seeing the other nod. Without saying another word, the ruby eyes male marched inside. Shoto and Tenya were already there, like expected. Yet Momo was still absent.

"Alright, I fucking came! What's your deal half-n-half?" Kacchan hissed, straight to the point.
"I asked you to come alone" he pointed out in a calm manner, eying the broccoli behind him.
"Deku is just a useless pet, a nobody. You can ignore him for all I care, he doesn't count as a someone"
Katsuki's words hurt Izuku deeply, making him clench his fists and supress his tears.

Yes, they were childhood friends once, but that time is long gone now, isn't it? Todoroki hummed, allowing it. And so Kacchan sat down, Deku standing at his right, a little behind him. To be honest, Midoriya had no idea why Bakugou decided to bring him along. Gambles like these, amongst high ranking individuals, were always played in private. Why bring an outsider along? Why want him here?

"My apologies for being late" Yaoyorozu spoke as she entered the room.
"It's no problem" Todoroki spoke, watching her as she sat down.
"Now, which game are we playing?" Iida asked.
"A classic. Poker" Shoto smiled.
"I know it's not as exiting as some of the other games, but I'm sure we'll amuse ourselves... We're playing with these, none the less"
