"I think we'd make a lovely chaos."
After going on some of the rides, Eduardo and Daphne walked along the edge of the pier. They stopped behind a man that was looking out to the ocean as he painted it on his canvas. They talked quietly while they watched his skillful hand replicate the scenery with a brush.
"Do you have any artistic talents?" Eduardo wondered.
Daphne looked up at him and took a small step aside once she realized he was standing way too close to her. "No. I used to think I was good at drawing, until I took an art class in middle school and realized I actually really sucked at it."
Eduardo laughed and realized this was his chance to find out if she was Daphne or not. "Where did you go to middle school?"
Daphne opened her mouth to answer but quickly caught on to the fact that she couldn't tell him she'd gone to middle school in Florida or else it could give her away. "Are you talented?... Artistically?" she dodged his question edgily.
Eduardo shrugged offhandedly. "I won second place in a talent show once... does that count?"
"You did?" She snapped her head at him, impressed. "What did you do?"
"I sang and played guitar."
Daphne wasn't surprised as she recalled the beautiful melody his fingers strum on that guitar the day she was searching for the bathroom in his house.
"Matter of fact, you know what song makes me think of you?"
"Which one?" Daphne asked without taking her eyes off the flawless painting.
"Cooler Than Me, by Mike Posner. Have you heard it?"
Daphne laughed as the song automatically played in her head. "Real funny."
"No, really! It goes perfect with you!"
"Sure."
"Yea! It's the only reason I can think as to why you don't want to show me who you are. You're probably scared that once I know who you are, I won't leave you alone at school and you're embarrassed to be seen with me."
