"I want to hold you close,
skin to skin,
and let our heartbeats have a conversation."
-John Mark Green"Don't leave me," Daphne repeated, disrupting Eduardo from the movie they were watching in his room.
His sister was at a party and his aunt was on her usual weekend date with Sergio, which meant he and his girlfriend had the whole place to themselves. But instead of doing what he wished they could be doing, they were sitting against his bed watching a movie.
He wasn't sure if Daphne's perspectives had changed now that she was pregnant, but he secretly hoped he wouldn't have to wait until they were married (if ever) to have his needs met by her.
"Don't go to Mexico," she insisted, leaning into him as she curled her arms around his torso.
When he playfully pressed his palms over his ears pretending he couldn't hear her, she laughed and tried to pry them off. They were stuck on like gorilla glue, so she started kissing his neck, knowing it would grab his undivided attention.
His hands peeled off his ears as his neck quirked to nudge her off in protest. "Don't do that."
Daphne lifted her head, hovering her face over his with a waning smile. "You don't like that?"
"I love it." He gulped as his eyes dragged down to her lips, trying to stop himself from pulling her in and kiss her with no boundaries.
"Then?"
Eduardo looked into her inquisitive, innocent gaze a moment, debating how to respond without scaring her off. "It, uh, it gives me... urges."
"Oh." She chuckled softly, shifting her body further into him so that she was half on top. "Well, what kind of girlfriend would I be if I don't take care of those urges before you leave me for three whole weeks? I've heard those girls over there go crazy for guys that speak English to them. I wouldn't want you to go crazy for one of them too and then not come back to me."
She wasn't going to reveal her source but Andrea's words had been rolling around in her head ever since their last conversation the day before. "Girl, you better make sure you guys talk every day 'cus not for nothing but those girls over there, their panties be dropping like it's hot whenever someone from America comes over and starts talking English."
