"How was the audition?", Ragnor greeted as Magnus stepped into the contemporary room. "Good. I mean I haven't gotten a callback yet but it was pretty good.", Magnus replied. He still felt bad about last evening. "You seem off- you sure everything is good?", Ragnor asked. "I kind of a had a fight with Alec yesterday so I'm kind of devastated right now. I mean we talked about it, we're good, but I still feel weird.", Magnus admitted and let himself slide down the wall. Ragnor frowned in worry:" What happened?" Magnus chuckled weakly:" Well, he came into our dorm after practice and prepared dinner for us, he made pasta himself and decorated the table, changed into a shirt and stuff- he basically tried to prepare a date night so when I would come back we could have a nice dinner and just the evening to ourselves." "What's wrong with that?", Ragnor asked in confusion, "Isn't that really sweet and thoughtful?" Magnus nodded:" It is. But he forgot I had the audition that day. And he never forgets anything, especially not something I have been talking about as much as I have been talking about this audition! It just seems like he just didn't listen to me at all! So when I came back I found the decorated table and Alec who must have been waiting for me for two hours, asleep on the kitchen chair." Ragnor bit his lip:" I kind of see where this is going- you confronted him, right?" Magnus nodded:" Kind of. I mean, I really am worried. He doesn't get any rest, he looks like a zombie, he just is constantly exhausted because of all the extra training he has to do with Julian- I am just scared it will all hit him at once." Ragnor lowered his gaze:" I understand that, Magnus, I really do. But Alec is a grown up guy. You talked to him about it, so you did all you could. Now it's up to him whether he is going to listen to you or not. You have to let him do his own thing. And as I know Alec, he for sure is beating himself up for forgetting about your audition right now. I mean the thought of making such a date night is still sweet- maybe you could try doing something similar next week? It will give you guys some malec time and make him relax." Magnus smiled:" Thanks for the advice. I think I'll do that."

"I want to see the lifts again!", Valentine yelled. Maia sighed:" I literally have no body tension left. I am exhausted." Alec nodded:" Same. My arms are burning and my neck is still sore from last night." "Last night?", Maia asked in confusion. "Didn't I tell you? Well, I prepared dinner for Magnus and me and thought we could maybe have a date night or something but apparently he had an audition that night that I forgot so I ended up waiting for him for two hours and eventually just fell asleep on the kitchen chair. Then we had kind of a fight about me not listening to him and spending so much time with Julian and me assuring him I will try to balance it but it's just a lot right now." Maia bit her lip:" I get it. I mean you have Julian, Magnus and yourself on your own plate right now, it's kind of a lot." Alec nodded:" Plus, Jace is in town this weekend and Isabelle wants to meet me for kind of a family dinner thing on Saturday after training." Maia frowned:" Ew. Does she really want to do that to herself?" Alec chuckled:" Very nice of you." "The lifts won't get any better by talking about your private lives! Lightwood, Roberts, show me what you've got.", Valentine called them out and everyone stopped practicing and turned around to watch them. Alec hated demonstrating. "Five, six, seven, eight!", Valentine counted and Maia and Alec rushed trough the combination. "Not the worst I have seen from you two.", Valentine said and left them alone. That definitely wasn't a compliment but it was also not too far away from one. With him, "Acceptable" was the highest you could get.

"Nice improv in rehersal!
