"This was the greatest thing ever!", Magnus sighed as he let himself fall onto his bed. Alec couldn't help but smile- it really was cute how Magnus' cheeks were still blushed, even though it has been several hours since their performance and they were already back home. "I had a blast as well.", Alec smiled and crawled into Magnus' bed to hold him. "Are you relieved it's over, though?", Magnus asked and Alec sighed:" I kind of am. But I am so happy with my decision. Now whenever I will see people breakdance I will forever think of how you and me did." "Tomorrow we have the day off- wanna do something crazy?", Magnus asked and Alec grinned:" Why not?" "Get your shoes and pack the speaker."; Magnus said and disappeared into the entry to grab a backpack. "Why?", Alec asked while hurrying out of bed. "You said you want to do something crazy.", Magnus replied and opened the dorm door- It was 11pm. Without further question, Alec followed Magnus and snuck out of the building. "How do we get back in? The door is locked.", Alec asked as they stood in front of the building. "They open at five am. Until then, we're locked out. Unless you want to call the safety service and ask them to open the door for you.", Magnus grinned and took Alec's hand. "You can't be serious? When I said I wanted to do something crazy I didn't mean to spend the entire night out in New York." "Well, that's what we are going to do.", Magnus laughed and took Alec's hand. Alec couldn't help but chuckle- he needed to get loose. He could see his breath like clouds against the night sky. "Let's go.", Magnus laughed and started running, pulling Alec with him. Alec felt the cold air run through his hair, the slight smell of gasoline and the distant sound of honking cars. This city truly never slept. "Come on, faster!", Magnus laughed. "Bet!", Alec screamed and increased his speed until Magnus could barely keep up. Hand in hand, they ran all the way to central park- to the lights, to the city.

"Set the speaker up!", Magnus said. Alec frowned- despite the time, there were still a few people walking round central park. "Just do it!", he added and Alec did what he was told. Suddenly "Midnight city" by M83 started playing. Alec looked up- Magnus was standing right in front of him, the lantern behind Alec reflecting in his eyes. "Now dance with me.", he said and Alec grinned. He started by moving his head, then his neck, shoulders, arms. Eventually the movement spread through his entire body, moving it all from his toes to his finger tips. The rhythm was pulsing in his veins, the melody was becoming his heartbeat, the cold air stroke his body, it was like a duet- him and the city. But all he could see was Magnus. The way he moved his arms, how his steps were so unproportionally big to his body size when he danced, how he always nodded to really feel the music. It was not a duet, it was a quartett- Him, Magnus, the city and their love for dance. The world seemed to be spinning around them as Alec felt the rocks under his sneakers' soles- they must have moved off the grass onto the path, but that didn't bother him. It felt like something has taken control over his body, he was just moving, not thinking about it. Everything happened naturally, automatically, and the thing pulling him out of his trance was when Magnus' lips weren't on his anymore. The song stopped playing, the dance was over. Only one thing stayed- Magnus. "That was wonderful.", Alec gasped and pressed his lips on Magnus' again, this time actively. "I know.", Magnus chuckled, little fireworks in his eyes, like always after a kiss.

"isn't it beautiful that we have no idea what's up there?", Magnus asked. "It kind of is."; Alec agreed, the grass tickling the back of his neck. They have laid down on the grass, watching the very few stars you could see on the sky. Suddenly, Alec heard a weird sound. "That's my stomach.", Magnus laughed. "Wanna grab food?", Alec asked and Magnus tilted his head:" Why not?"  Alec took Magnus' hand and pulled him up. By now, Central park was pretty much empty. As they walked towards an exit, they saw a group of teenagers drinking and smoking. Without further notice, they kept walking. On the streets, the night life already started buzzing- they saw Tourists in ripped jeans and cropped tops standing in a line for a club, high-class New Yorkers in red tight dresses and Smokings entering luxury bars. "Pizza slices?", Magnus asked and Alec nodded- he definitely felt out of place here. A fifteen minute walk later, they found a little pizza slices shop which seemed to be open 24/7. "Pizza slices at one am - that's a completely different vibe."; Alec joked as they just sat down on some random sidewalk. "But isn't it amazing?", Magnus asked. Alec kind of had to agree- it was definitely a cool experience. "Have you ever done this before?", Alec asked. Magnus swallowed his bite of pizza and cleared his throat:" Well, not really. When I was sixteen, some friends of mine and I decided to sneak out and meet up- we were home again by midnight though, because everyone was scared to got caught. But I have been wanting to spend the night outside for years by now, and this seemed like a good opportunity." "It was.", Alec said and finished his pizza- how did it taste better than usually?

Magnus and Alec spent the entire night out in New York, walking around the city, watching the ocean, exploring unknown streets and ditricts.

"Where are you coming from?", the security guard asked as he unlocked the door in the morning in the very second Magnus and Alec arrived. "We went for a morning run.", Magnus lied and both of them walked back into the holy halls of NYABM, desperately trying to supress their giggle.

Hello beautiful people! Is it just me or do you also have the desire to spend the night in the city? Just me? Okayyy :-) Well anyways, I hope you enjoyed the chapter.                              XOXO, AllyMaii
