Chapter thirty-five

"Good Morning.", Magnus whispered in Alec's ear. Alec smiled- how much he missed waking up like this. "Good morning.", he replied with his rough morning voice. "Excited?", Magnus asked and Alec nodded. "How late is it?", he asked and Magnus giggled:" 4 AM, like I promised you." Alec chuckled:" Alright, let's do this then." Yesterday they were so tired they couldn't find any energy to clean their rooms so they decided to get up earlier and do it in the morning. "You'll do the bathroom, I'll do the kitchen.", Alec yawned and struggled out of bed. "Should we put on some music? Quiet, obviously.", Magnus asked and Alec shrugged- why not. With a smirk, Magnus got his phone and started playing a song Alec immediately recognized- it was War of Hearts. "Do you remember? Last year, when we casually got up early to stretch before class?", Alec asked and Magnus nodded:" I do. And do you remember how we fell asleep watching the stars?" Alec smiled joyfully- he remembered. "And, how we ran into Jace and Izzy in the coffeshop?" Alec burst out laughing:" Yeah, that was awkward. Man, it was quite a year, wasn't it?" He was getting nostalgic as he started thinking about how easy times used to be. "I'm happy to have you back, Alec.", Magnus said and tears flushed his eyes. "Me too.", Alec whispered and pulled his boyfriend in a hug. How much he missed this was indescribable. It felt as if the piece of his heart that has been ripped out finally was put back in place. "I love you, Alec. I will never stop loving you.", Magnus said and Alec could feel his tears soak the shirt he slept in. "I love you too, Mags.", Alec said and let go. "We're good, then?", he asked and Alec nodded, smilingly:" We are. More than good, Mags. You are my everything and that hasn't changed. It won't ever change. And tonight, I will prove that to you." Magnus grinned filthily:" Was that-" "Who knows?", Alec smirked and turned away. "Okay, well now I'm motivated to clean our entire dorm to the finest!", Magnus laughed and Alec grinned. Thankfully both of them weren't messy when it came to dishes and things like that so the kitchen and the bathroom were cleaned quickly. The bigger problem was the entry and the bedroom. "What are we going to do with all that laundry?", Magnus chuckled and pointed at the enormous mountain of dirty training clothes blocking half of their entry. Alec bit his lip- yeah, both of them hated doing laundry. "It kind of smells as well, despite of the deodorant we spray in there.", Alec laughed and Magnus it his lip then burst out laughing. For some seconds both just stood there, sceptically looking at the mountain of smelly clothes, not sure how to deal with this problem. "I mean we could block probably all washing machines in the laundry room and try to wash it but-", Magnus suggested but Alec interrupted:" We could also just get a couple of trashbags, put all the clothes in there and put them under our beds." With a quick exchange of looks it was obvious which version they decided to go with. A few stuffed trashbags later the entry looked a lot better. "Bedroom.", Magnus sighed and Alec followed him. "Teamwork makes the dream work.", Magnus chuckled and started collecting all the clothes from all over the bedroom. Meanwhile Alec laid down on the floor, trying to vacuum everything underneath their beds and stuff the laundrybags underneath it. "Alec?", Magnus asked suddenly. "Huh?", Alec asked, his entire upper body under Magnus' bed. "Are you okay?", Magnus asked and Alec laughed:" Yeah, why wouldn't I be?" "I don't want to concern you but your right knee is about double the size of your left knee.", Magnus stated. "Nah, you're exaggerating.", Alec said, trying to play it off. "No, Alec, I am serious, it's really swollen.", Magnus said and Alec scoffed- why. Just why. Why did he have to notice the last day he was hiding it? "It's fine, don't worry. I will get it looked at tomorrow.", Alec promised and Magnus sighed:" I trust you on this one, Alec. Don't do anything stupid." "Me? Stupid? Are you joking?", Alec laughed, "You might as well call me the wisest man on earth." "Alec, I'm serious.", Magnus said. "I know.", Alec replied, "Me too. I'm okay, I promise." Then he sealed his promise with a soft kiss on his boyfriends' lips. "Okay.", Magnus replied with a slight smile. "What are we going to do with the closets?", ALec asked as he completely crawled out from under the bed. "I honestly would suggest just closing the doors, nobody will open them anyways.", Magnus grinned and Alec shrugged- sounded like a plan. Only a few minutes later they proudly looked at their finished project- the beds were made, no clothes laying around and no dirt. "Ready for the final touch?", Magnus asked and Alec nodded with a grin. In the same second, both pulled out their deodorants and started perfuming all rooms to cover all the smell that was leaking through the trashbags under their beds. "Perfect.", Magnus stated right after both started coughing. "Okay, let's get the hell downstairs before we suffocate.", Alec laughed and they made their way to the dining room. Everyone was at breakfast and Magnus and Alec arrived just on time. "Hey, we thought the two of you overslept.", Maia greeted with a smile as always. "Nah, we got up at 4 AM to clean our room.", Magnus grinned and Raphael almost choked on his bagel:" You guys did what? Well that's what I call last minute." "What happened to the laundry mountain?", Simon asked with a grin. "What laundry mountain?", Maia asked and Simon laughed:" Those two lazy pieces of shit put all their dirty laundry on the entry floor and bring it to the laundry room like every three months or just when the mountain starts blocking the door." "Ew!", Maia laughed, "Alec, I swear, It's pure luck for you that you are wearing a costume today, otherwise I wouldn't even come near you!" Alec chuckled:" I guess you can. Just as a disclaimer- my deodorant is good." "Alec, ew. Ew. That's all I can say to you-ew.", Maia replied laughing.

Hey beautiful people! I know I promised the open house chapter for today but I felt like Malec needed a little more closure and I kind of love this chapter. Anyways, what I have planned for the day of the open house is quite a lot so this is the open house morning and then there will be another one or two open house chapters coming your way so don't get confused- it's all the day of the open house.
