Chapter forty-three

"Good morning!", Magnus whispered into Alec's ear, the sweet sound of his voice tickling the inside of it. "Good morning.", Alec replied and turned his head to the left to stare into Magnus' black honey eyes. "Happy Valentines day.", Magnus chuckled and Alec smiled right before rewarding his boyfriend with a kiss. "Happy Valentines day." It was a Saturday and due to the upcoming project week they had their day off- much in Magnus' and Alec's interest. "Tomorrow is the midterm party, right?", Alec asked and Magnus nodded. Alec grinned-perfect. That meant they had the whole day to themselves. "Any plans?", Magnus asked curiously and Alec grinned:" Bet." Then he rolled himself onto Magnus, steadying himself onto his elbows and pressing his pale palms into the white bedsheet. "I see.", Magnus chuckled with a flirty undertone and pulled Alec down onto himself. Magnus could feel Alec's rocklike set of abs through the thin fabric of his shirt. "Let me take care of that.", Magnus whispered and go rid of the last physical barrier between the two of them. Alec's warm chest steadied itself on his own while his mouth was placing little kisses, like a burning path from Magnus' mouth all the way down to his bellybutton. The golden light shining through their bedroom window made Magnus' eyes look even darker and Alec could see the lust sparkling in them. His big, rough hands stroke Magnus' sensitive, freshly shaved chest, wiping away the remains of his kisses, only to make fresh ones. "God, this is good.", Magnus moaned and Alec grinned, his teeth touching his boyfriends bellybutton. "Come up here.", Magnus gasped and Alec did exactly what he was told. Without a second of hesitation, he pressed his lips' on Magnus', felt them part and come back together, sucking in his lower lip, He felt Magnus' tongue exploring his mouth and his teeth when he smiled as Alec started striking his Arms, Chest, Abs. The kisses got wilder, more passionate, the world spun, it was only the two of them. Then Magnus pulled away tp catch a breath. "How do you like my plans so far?", Alec grinned cockily. "Perfect. Now roll around, my turn.", Magnus chuckled and flipped Alec on his back, wrapping his knees around his hips. "Enjoy the ride.", Magnus whispered and pressed his digit finger on Alec's smiling lips.

"I made a little something for you.", Alec grinned after sitting up. "We literally have a no-gifts-policy", Magnus protested. "Shut up.", Alec said and blocked Magnus' lips with a little kiss. It took him only seconds to find the picture in the frame he so carefully decorated. "This is so sweet.", Magnus said and smiled joyfully. "I tried my best- and discovered I'm not good at crafting." "Shut up.", Magnus disagreed, "This is stunning. Besides, the thought counts." Alec grinned and kissed Magnus' forehead before he got up. "Pancakes?", he asked and Magnus nodded- always. Whilst Alec was getting breakfast ready Magnus decided to check his phone. He had a few unread texts from Ragnor and a voice message from Heidi asking if him and Alec would help with the Midterm-party. "Are we helping with the midterm party?", Magnus yelled and got a positive response from the kitchen. "Everything but music though, I did that last year and it was a hell of a piece of work.", Alec added and Magnus grinned- he remembered how Alec laid in bed at night and made the playlist. Things were so much different this time. Things were better. "I'll let her know.", he replied and wrote the according message. Suddenly he realized he had a new text from an unknown number.

Hello Magnus! It's Asmodeus- maybe you remember me from the open house. I wanted to ask if you would be available to grab coffee, maybe on Monday? I need to ask you a few more questions before I can properly talk to my boss. I hope to hear from you.

Magnus frowned- couldn't he just email the questions? With a shrug, he typed a response.

Absolutely! Monday at lunchtime would work for me.

"Food is almost ready!", Alec yelled from the kitchen and Magnus, not anymore surprised of his boyfriends speed when it came to cooking got up to get the table ready. "Do you want honey or jam?", Alec asked and Magnus shrugged. "Honey, then.", Alec answered himself and Magnus chuckled. It was crazy how well Alec knew him. Sometimes, he even felt bad because of it. Yes, he has memorized Alec's standard coffee order by now but he still asked him every time if he wanted his tea with or without sugar. Alec on the other hand knew that Magnus liked his tea sweet, still he asked because he knew how fast Magnus could change his mind about things like this. He wasn't necessarily indecisive, he just liked to switch around- and Alec was okay. He was okay with memorizing a new coffee order every two weeks. It were little things like these which made the actual difference for Magnus. Little things nobody would notice, nobody but him. Of course, he liked grand gestures, but grand gestures were a one-time-thing: It happens and then it's over. The little things, they happen every day, like little reminders of Alec's unconditional love for him. Alec knew he hated any scentless deodorant, that was why he always chose one that actually smelled like something. He also knew that for some weird reason, Magnus felt like blue Kinesiology tape wasn't doing anything for him- that was why Alec never used it on Magnus. He knew all his pet peeves, his sweet spots, his weaknesses- and Magnus wished he knew Alec's as well. But he seemed to not have any- Alec was okay with everything Magnus did. He was okay with him not opening the bathroom window after he used hair spray, he was okay with painting his nails in the kitchen, he was okay with finding Magnus' clothes in his part of the wardrobe. He was okay with Magnus being his messy, uncoordinated, forgetful and quirky self. For whatever reason, he just was.

Hello beautiful people! I thought you deserved some more romance! I really enjoyed writing this Valentines day chapter because in the end fluffy Malec is all we want. It was also cool to write a little from Magnus' perspective so let me know what you think about that. Also- how did you like the smut in the beginning? I really tried my best with it.
