The word Bikesexual is my favourite word ever in the whole world ever.
I got it from an insane McPricely fanfiction but anyways here you goAlso, cards on the table, I'm not super happy with how I portrayed Rich. He gives off more Jeremy vibes. Maybe it's just me but a little warning.
•••Rich x Jake
"My bike isn't that bad! I can still ride it to school and work and everywhere!" Rich protests.
"Richie come on. The wheels are practically falling off, the chain can't stay on for more than a minute and sitting on that seat is like having a cactus rammed up your ass" Chloe responds, getting right to the point.
Rich opens his mouth to protest, but can only make gibberish noises.
"Okay before you come up with another bullshit excuse, you're going to take your bike to the shop and get it fixed. I will pay whatever amount it takes, Hell I'll replace it if I have to, but you are fixing that bike"
And just like that, Chloe puts her foot down. Rich reluctantly leaves their shared apartment, unlocking his bike from the bike stand out front.
He doesn't understand why Chloe hates his bike so much. It's the perfect height, with bright red paint. Sure, the paint is chipping and it's starting to rust, but it still sparkles like no other bike. Sure, Rich can't actually ride it to the shop because he knows the bike will break, but it's still the best bike he has ever known.
Since him and Chloe live very close to the town centre, it takes him less than ten minutes to walk there.
The bike shop (named Wheely Good) is painted light green with two big windows at the front. Rich stands outside the shop a little dumbfounded. He has never gone to a bike shop ever. He bought his own bike from a guy on the side of the road. Is he supposed to bring the bike in, or leave it outside? Can his bike even fit through the doors?
"Excuse me?" A voice cuts into his deep thinking.
A twinky boy stands at the shop doorway, looking slightly concerned.
"Sorry you've been standing outside for twenty minutes- are you okay?""Yep I'm good" Rich snaps back to reality. "I'm here to get my bike serviced but I've never been serviced before"
"Wheel your bike in, I'll have someone take a look at it" the boy holds open the door as Rich takes his bike in.
The shop smells like clean rubber and a little bit of oil. Bikes are everywhere- and I mean everywhere. The boy (who's name tag reads Jeremy) steps off to the side behind a counter.
He presses a button, speaking into a little microphone.
"Jakey D" he says over the PA. "Got a bike coming your way"Jeremy looks to Rich, gesturing to the back corner of the shop.
"Jake will take a look at it for you. If he's playing Candy Crush on his phone instead of working, threaten to shove the phone up his butt for me""Can do" Rich says.
He navigates through the bike racks, coming to what looks like someone's garage. There are tools on the walls and floor and other bike-y things that Rich can't identify.
A guy sits on a chair. He wears a black t-shirt that slightly hugs his body, showing off his athletic physique. His hair is tucked into a backwards blue cap.
"The guy at the counter told me to shove your phone up your ass if you're playing on it" Rich says to get his attention.
The guy- who's called Jake according to Jeremy, immediately breaks into laughter. His eyes scrunch up and he throws his head back.
