I put on the red pinstriped suit I was getting hitched to Angel in. Arackniss was best man(he fucking deserves it) and Jeff was lead groomsman. Lead bridesmaid was Molly and the flower girl was Niffty. Charlie managed to get Lucifer to be the priest and Husk was the ring bearer because he said he didn't mind as long as he could participate.
My mother swept into the room, her long, sparkly gown trailing behind her and she had feathers tucked next to her long deers' ears. I took her hands, grinning from ear to ear and matching her smile.
"I'm so proud of you, my son, I can't wait to see you two get married!!" My mom kissed me on the cheek, leaving a lipstick mark.
"Mom! You left a mark..." I said, feigning that I was upset. Jeff gave her a fake death stare as he struggled to get the mark off my skin.
"You,...Zoey, are lucky that I'm in a great mood right now..." Jeff grumbled as he scrubbed my cheek. Mom retreated out into the theater, giving me a look of apology.
Husk came in, sporting only the pinstriped blazer, the bow tie, and the matching fedora(because he's a cat that already looks like he's wearing a suit). He looked at me with a look of appreciation hidden in his amber eyes behind a stony face and I stared back with a closed-mouth smile on my face.
"Ya look stupid, but hey... I don't really give a shit. I'm doing this for the booze." Husk shrugged, flapping his wings slightly.
"Angel has catnip for later if you want it..." I teased, bumping my elbow against his shoulder.
"Ya damn right that I want it. I like that shit." Husk replied, giving me a savage, sarcastic grin.
"I'm sure you do. Do you have the rings?" I asked, adjusting my bow tie.
"Yeah, I do. Do you have my booze?" Husk asked, straightening my bow tie because I apparently messed it up.
"Nope. It's back at the bar. You aren't drinking until we get back to the hotel." I replied. Husk groaned in annoyance. I patted his head, giving him a sympathetic smile.
"Asshole." Husk said, growling at me teasingly.
"Pussy." I replied, scratching him behind the ears and making him purr slightly.
"Mmmmm...well at least you know what I am." Husk purred softly.
I snorted in amusement.
"Hey, um, Alastor, it's time for you to get to the front of the congregation..." Arackniss said softly from the doorway.
I walked up to the front of the theater, grinning at the people who were sitting in the rows of seats.
Arackniss took his spot slightly behind Lucifer as I greeted the King of Hell.
"Hello, Luci." I said, smiling at him slightly.
"Alastor..." Lucifer greeted me tersely, as if trying not to slap me.
"Here comes the bride!!" Molly called out, sliding into a chair in the front, next to Cherry and Pentious.
Niffty raced down the runway with flower petals flying everywhere and Angel stepped into view, bringing the outfit I designed to life.
He looks perfect.
