The girl with mismatched eyes POV

"LET ME OUT!" I shout, my voice hoarse.

"Let me out...please..."

I sink to the floor, the metal cold. Everything's bathed in a red glow of the Unbroken ship that I'm trapped on.

"Please. I didn't do anything wrong." I sob.
"Please...please..."

I shut my eyes and slow my breathing.
I remember a song that Callie and I used to sing.
"Y-you know I w-want you."

"It's n-not a secret I try t-to hide."
"I know you want m-me."
"So stop saying our hands are tied."

I wipe my eyes.
"You claim it's not in the cards, but fate is pulling me miles away and out of reach of me."

I put a hand to my heart.
"But your here in my heart, so who can stop me if I decide that you're my destiny~"

I stand up.
"What if we rewrite the stars, say you were made to be mine."
"Nothing could keep us apart."
"You'd be the one I was meant to find."
"It's up to you, and it's up to me, no one can say what we get to be."

I spin around, my arms whirling around me.
"So what if we rewrite the stars?"
"Maybe the world could be ours, tonight~"

My voice cracks as I sing Callies part.
"You think it's easy? You think I don't want to run to you."
"But there are mountains, and there a wall that we can't walk through."
"I know your wondering why, because we're able to be just you and me."

I bite back tears at the memory of my sister.
"Within these walls, but when we go outside your gonna wake up and see that it was hopeless after all."

I go for the chorus again.
"No one can rewrite the stars, how can you say you'll be mine."
"Everything keeps us apart, and I'm not the one you were meant to find."
"It's not up to you, and it's not up to me, when everyone tells us what we can be."

A soft voice spills over the PA system.
It's Kal.
"All I want is to fly, with you." We sing.
"All I want is to fall with you."
"So just give me all of you."
I look up to the camera, and sing my part.
"It feels impossible."
His voice sings back to me.
"It's not impossible."
I sing my part again.
"Is it impossible?"

We sing together.
"Say that it's possible~"

"How do we rewrite the stars?"
"Say you were made to be mine."
"Nothing can keep us apart."
"Cause you are the one I was meant to find~"

"It's up to you, and it's up to me."
"No one can say what we get to be."
"And why don't we rewrite the stars?"
"Changing the world to be ours, tonight."

I sing the last part, quiet.
"You know I want you, it's not a secret I try to hide."
"But I can't have you."
"We're bound to break, and my hands are tied."

I smile weakly up to the camera.
"Can you rewrite the stars, Kal?"

"I-"

"It's okay...No one can rewrite the stars, after all."
