The girl with mismatched eyes POV

The crowd departs as the ship comes to a shuddering halt.

The doors open a second later, and my friends stream out, calling my name.

I look up to Saedii and she nods, and I sprint towards them as fast as my frail body will allow, tears clinging to my lashes.

"Auri?!" I hear Scar call, and I crash into her, giving her a hug.
"I'm so sorry I should've said that I was alive and-"

"Hey, your here now, and that's okay. That's all that matters." She whispers.

I let go of her and see the others.

Tears are streaming down Fins face, with Ty and Zila blinking back tears.
"I'm back!" I say with a smile, and they fold me into a hug.

"We missed you." Fin whispers,

"So did I." I say to him back.

I let go.
"Is-is Kal here?" I ask, hesitant.

"I'm pretty sure. He'll be stoked to see you." Fin says.
"KAL?! GET YOUR PRETTYBOY ASS DOWN HERE!" He shouts, and I attempt to laugh, but it ends up in a coughing fit.

I look over my shoulder, and see that Saedii and Ty are in deep conversation.

The crowd begins to swarm around us again, and we all head inside the ship, where Kal is waiting for us.

His eyes widen, and he steps towards me, hesitant.
"Auri? Are you there?"

"Well yeah, I'm right in front of you, dummy."

And then I feel is body against mine and the sweet comfort of his lips colliding against mine. I wrap my legs around his waist, and link my arms behind his neck. He cups my face, and breaks the kiss.

"I thought you were dead." He whispers, incredulous.

"Nope. I don't die, it's not my style."

I melt into another kiss, and am awash in the fact that I'm finally home.
