Auri's POV

The one freaking time Kal wasn't there to protect us, we get captured by the GIA.

So now Scar and I are stuck seperate cells, stuck to the wall with some sort of hi-tech chains so we couldn't move.

The guards had already interrogated me, giving me a bruised arm and a black eye.

Thoughts of escape are going through my mind. I think I've figured out how to get out, but I just gotta break the weird chains and the door, which is made of the same blue electricity.

A while later, the door slides open, with three GIA goons getting me ready for an interrogation with Princeps. They pick me up, and as I walk past Scars cell, I shoot her a wink.

Then I break the chains on my hands with my powers, also shattering Scars cell. She races up to me, and we fight the goons. I saw her knee one in the fun factory, and I made the others crash into the wall with my mind.

We take the uniforms and put them on, and stuff the unconscious guards into my cell. That'll stall them for a while.

"Scar, c'mon. We're going to see my father."

She nods and we run towards the bridge.

Kal's POV

"Kal, chill. They'll be fine. We know their on a GIA ship." Ty tries to calm me down. I must get to Aurora.
"We must get to them!"
"Yes, we will. And lucky for you, we already have a plan to bust them out."

I breathe a sigh of relief. My Aurora will be okay.

We are coming, be'shmai.

Auri's POV

Scar and I have reached the bridge, and have our uniforms on. We should slip in, and I would be able to talk with my father.

We take a deep breath in, and walk into the bridge.

"Hello, father." I say, the helmet neutraliser making my voice unrecognisable. I take my helmet off, as well as Scar. I take a step towards him, fearless.

"Jie Lin."
"Damn right. And I have a few words for you." I start challenging him.
"You know what I wish?
I wish you didn't cheat on Mum.
I wish you didn't throw us away.
I wish you didn't give in to the Ra'haam.
"I wish you were still my father."
"Jie Lin-"
"No. Just don't. Now this dead girl walking is getting the hell out of here. Goodbye, princeps."

I throw them all back to the control panels, sending the ship down. We grab disruptors, and run out of the ship, towards the escape pods.

Kal's POV

As we arrive at the GIA ship, we realise that some of it is on fire, and taking a nosedive.

Aurora.

She will not survive the crash. I see hundreds of tiny escape pods leaving the ship, praying to the void that she gets put alive.

Auri's POV

Scar and I manage to get an escape pod, and launch into the black, leaving my father and his burning ship behind.

"Girl, that was crazy." Scar laughs.
"Yeah! I see our ship, maybe the guys thought to rescue us before we did it ourselves."
"Knowing them, probably."

We putter to our ship, still in GIA uniforms, bruised and battered, but alive. We grab the spacesuits in the pod, and walk to the air lock.

When we step inside, everyone is there, cheering. Kal wraps me up in a kiss, apologising.

"Are you okay?" He asks, his voice full of concern.
"Yeah, were fine. We got a few beatings when they tried to interrogate us, but were ok."
Scarlett chimes in "Dude, your girlfriend was amazing! Auri was the one who busted us out of jail, who faced her dad, who destroyed the ship. She's the only reason we survived."

I smile a little, and head to the med room. The interrogator grabbed on to my arm, bruising it, and I had a black eye. Holy cake, I looked bad.

But that was aside the point. We were okay. I had faced my father and destroyed a ship.

I had survived.
My father was gone, and I was okay.
