45. I was the reason

Sana's POV 

I'm worried about Mina. It started to rain and Mina is still out. She didn't even take an umbrella with her. I hope she is fine. 

I heard the front door open so I ran thinking it's Mina. 

"Mina!!" I called but it was Jimin who just came back holding our belongings from his car. 

We were lucky to have Jimin there at that time when Mina was having a mental breakdown. He helped us bring Mina home. 

"Oh, it's you," said I in a low tone. 

"Don't worry. She'll be here soon." He said and handed me the belongings. 

"I just hope she is fine right now." I don't want the Mina from 4 years ago to come back again. It's hard to see your best friend like that. It's frustrating to be able to not do anything for them. It's a disgusting feeling that I wish no one has to go through ever in their life. 

Jimin sighed and took a seat on the couch. Momo is in her room. She hasn't come out since Jimin told her about his part of the story from 4 years ago.

*Flashback*

Jimin's POV 

"Dad!!" My father has end-stage renal disease (ESRD). In other words, kidney failure. It's the last stage of chronic kidney disease meaning that we will need a donor ASAP because both of his kidneys have stopped working. 

*In the hospital* 

I want to help my dad but the doctor said I'm not a compatible match. I don't want my father to leave me too. I will be an orphan if he left me alone in this world. 

"Jimin!!" I heard a familiar voice call my name. 

"Jin." 

"Hey! What happened? Where is he?" He asked. 

I pointed at the room and cried. I don't know what to do right now. We don't even have relatives to ask for their help. 

"How is his condition?" He asked in a worried tone. 

"H-he has ESRD." I managed to say within my sobs. I hugged him and cried on his shoulders and he kept patting my back trying to calm me down. 

"Everything is gonna be alright." He said. 

After a few minutes, I calmed down and he asked me the rest of the questions he had saved. 

"Have you found a donor yet?" I was about to answer when the doctor walked towards me. 

"Jimin-ssi we got good and bad news." He said. I stood up and listened to what he had to say. 

"Good news is that we have found a donor." He said with a smile. 

This means my father can be saved. 

I was happy upon hearing that but what's the bad news? 

"The bad news is that the operation is going to cost huge amounts." 

"H-how much?" I asked while hesitating. 

"47 million won," The doctor said. 

Where am I supposed to bring such money from? 

"We'll pay for it. We just need some time," said Jin. 

"I just want to let you know that we don't have much time." The doctor said and left them. 

"Where am I going to get the money from?" I asked Jin while I brokedown in front of him.
