16. I'm Pathetic

Dahyun's POV

I never thought that Chaeyoung would share the thing that earlier caused her to break down just after a few hours of me questioning her about it. But I feel happy that she did. It means that she trusts us.

"Remember you guys always ask me why I don't date anyone," said Chaeyoung.

I think I already know where this is going. If it is what I'm thinking then I have to act clueless.

I and Tzuyu both nodded at her question.

"Well, it's because of the girl I told you about in the hotel back in Tokyo," said Chae.

Mina.

"Which girl?" Tzuyu asked.

It's Mina. Please let it be Mina.

"My 2nd girlfriend. Remember?" Chae asked.

I was right. But I wanna know whether she still likes her or not.

"Oh, yeah. What about her? Do you still like her?" I asked curiously scooting towards Chae.

I have my eagle eyes darted on Chaeyoung but she can't see it since she's facing downwards.

"Uhh, I guess I-"

I didn't let her finish her sentence because when she said "I guess" I knew she still loved her.

"Aah, no way," I said in excitement. I forgot I was supposed to act clueless. What can I do? My friend is in love and the person she loves, loves her back? Well, I don't know but what I do know is that I have to let Momo eonnie know about this.

"But you said you broke up with her because she liked someone else," said Tzuyu.

Oh, I completely forgot about the person that Mina eonnie liked. Wait? Did she like someone else? According to what Momo eonnie described, she only loved Chaeyoung so who is this person that Chaeyoung thinks Mina eonnie likes?

"Yeah and turns out I was right. I saw her today in the store with him," Chae said and faced the floor.

They were together? I have to ask Momo eonnie about this mysterious guy.

"Oh, is that why you acted like that before?" asked Tzuyu.

Chaeyoung just nodded and continued her story about how she had an encounter with her ex today. It was heartbreaking to see Chaeyoung like this. She never showed us this side of her. By what she just said, Chaeyoung might be unsure about her feelings but I'm now 100% sure that she loves Mina eonnie. She started crying by the time she finished her story. So, I and Tzuyu both hugged her and assured her that we're both here for her. She's so fragile when it comes to love. She easily gets affected. I guess that is what love is. It makes you sensitive.

After our DaCHaeTzu time, we decided to go to sleep. Don't worry Chaeyounga destiny will do its work and if you two are meant to be together then no one can come in between.

If Mina eonnie likes Chaeyoung too then they can be together again. But I also have to ask Momo eonnie about this guy who Chaeyoung saw with Mina eonnie because it all started with him.

*The next day*

I have to talk to Momo eonnie but how do I do that?

I kept thinking about it but nothing came in my head. So I made myself a cup of coffee and walked my way to the balcony to enjoy the morning breeze.

"Aah," I exclaimed.

It feels really nice to wake up and feel the fresh wind and hear the sound of waves in the morning. I can see the ocean waves from here. Even though it's not fully visible I can make do with what I see.
