70. How I wish

"Mina." 

I shook my thoughts, pinched myself even slapped. I did everything to wake myself up from this dream. To know if it really was the girl I left behind. I shut my eyes tightly counted to 5 and opened it. 

"She is not here." I regretted doing the things I had just done. At least, I had a chance to see her even if it was just a daydream. 

"Why did I do that?" I asked myself releasing a chuckle with a bitter smile. 

I went over to the bench where I just saw Mina and took a seat. After making myself comfortable, I enjoyed the view that was in front of me. The city lights at night. 

Summer is the perfect time to visit here at night. It's not too hot or too cold. It's perfect just how we like it. 

How I wish I could come here and spend time with you just like the old days. 

I brought my knees closer to my chest, rested my hands and head on top of it. I closed my eyes and reminisced our past memories in this hill. 

Mina's POV 

I miss this place which is why I came here to visit but I didn't expect to see her here. 

"Chaeyoung?" 

Chaeyoung was far away from me but I could tell it was her. Even though it's night and there is barely any source of lights in this area, the city lights were enough to see other's face clearly. 

I quickly left and hid behind a small wall structure. I looked over to see what she was doing. She was still shaking her head. She pinched herself and god grief she even slapped herself. 

Is she on her right mind? 

She opened her eyes and looked at the bench where I have sat a few seconds ago. The disappointment was clearly written on her face. 

I'm sorry Chaeyoung-ah. I don't think I ready to face you. I knew about your relationship with your family yet I blamed you for leaving me again when all you did was to love me. 

She approached the bench and sat there like a ball. She looked sad and someone who could use some company and share a laugh. 

How I wish I was there with her enjoying this moment just like the old days. 

*Ring... ring...* 

I dropped my phone in panic when I received an incoming call from god knows who. I don't want Chaeyoung to see me. I grabbed my phone and left the scene as quickly as I can, without turning back. 

As I reached far enough from Chaeng, I checked my phone to see the missed call. It was Jungkook. I actually came here to meet Jungkook to work on his plan. 

I should probably call and tell him to meet somewhere else. 

Chaeyoung's POV 

*Ring... ring...* 

That ringtone!! 

"Mina?"

I turned around to where the music was coming from. I saw a figure running away which oddly resembled Mina. 

What if that's actually her? 

I ran after the girl hoping to catch her but I was too late. She was nowhere to be seen. 

Was that actually her? 

With this thought, I went back to the bench and sat down hopelessly.
