30. It's not your fault

Momo's POV 

I'm in the room seated on the bed next to Mina who's asleep. She is sleeping but sometimes she moves saying not to touch her. I guess she is badly traumatised by what happened to her. 

Chae told us what happened to Mina earlier and I can't help but feel guilty about it. I invited Bambam on this trip. If I didn't have invited him none of this would've happened. 

"Do you think Mina will be fine?" Sana sat next to me and asked in low tone. 

"I don't know," I replied in a similar tone. 

"Hey, I know you're blaming yourself for this but it's not your fault." She said caressing my back. 

I can't hold in the tears anymore so I let it out. 

"She is in a state l-like this because of m-me. If I-I didn't have invited him. This wouldn't have- happened." I cried but made sure not to produce any sound since Mina is sleeping in the bed next to us. Last thing I wanna do is wake her up. She is tired and requires sleep right now. 

Sana hugged me and caressed my back. 

"Hey, it's not your fault alright. It's that jerk who didn't treat our Mitang right. You only wanted to help your best friend to get to the person she liked." She said. 

"I know but I still blame myself. She nearly got raped. If Chae wasn't there then who know what would've happened." I cried and left the room so I won't wake Mina up. 

Sana followed me but I hid so she couldn't find me. She went back to the room so I sat down on the staircase. 

"Hey you good?" I looked at the person and saw Chae. I quickly hugged her and let my tears fall. I cried on her shoulders but she didn't complain. Instead she hugged me back and let me cry until I stopped. 

She released the hug and looked at me. Her left shoulder is wet due to the tears I cried. 

"Feeling better?" She asked me. 

I nodded and sat down on the staircase. 

"Why are you crying eonnie?" She asked. 

"I know that you know," I replied and she sighed. 

"Listen. What ever happened with Mina eonnie is not your fault. It was solely Bambam's fault. So stop blaming yourself." said Chae. 

"But how can I not blame myself when Mina is in a state like that Chae? She is getting nightmares because of it. She talks in her sleep. She has never done that before and the words she says is either 'leave me' or 'dont touch me'. Now tell me how can I not blame myself?" I stated. 

"If I was you. I would've blamed myself too." 

"See!!" 

"But I'm sure you would've done the same thing me and Sana eonnie is doing right now." 

"That is to look after Mina eonnie and let you know that it's not your fault. Think about it yourself. Did you call Bambam here so he could hurt Mina eonnie?" She asked. 

"No." 

"You called him so they could get closer and maybe-" She paused for a while before continuing. 

"And maybe get together." She said in a sad tone. 

I just nodded. 

"So it's not your fault. You just wanted to help Mina eonnie... with her crush." She said bitterly.
