Something new

2021. New Year, New Me, Same Dreams, New Projects, and a fresh start.

December 2020, Yea Ji confirmed to play a role in OCN new upcoming  drama entitled Island. She always wanted to challenge herself to play various roles. Second week of January 2021 when it was announced to the public.

Meanwhile, Soo Hyun has been checking a lot of scripts he has received. He find it hard to choose what drama will he accept. He sighed, it's been hours but he couldn't decide.

Yea Ji went inside his room. He took off his glasses, placed it on the table and looked at her.

"Oppa, what's wrong?" she asked

"Nothing." he said as he sighed

"What's bothering you?" she stated, for almost 4 years in a relationship she knew he was not okay. She sat on the table and pulled his chair towards her. "Tell me."

"It's just... I think I won't accept any drama this year."

"Why?" she was surprised, weeks ago, he said he already decided that he will accept a netflix original project

"What happened to the one you're talking about last time? You know, what's the working title again? Oh, Fingers."

"I don't know Yea Ji ah. What if the viewers won't like it?"

"Why are you being so pessimist? Hmm? Our drama was a huge success. Remember?" she said

"I know. But this is different. The plot, the character- it was challenging. There are scenes that was R-18. I did it on my last movie but it became a disappointment to many. I don't want it to happen again."

"Soo Hyun ah, are you afraid I might get jealous?" she asked while arms crossed "I think you're just worried about my reaction not the viewers."

He bit his lips, what she said was partly right. They were already dating when he did the real movie and their relationship almost break because he didn't said to her that there are some sensitive scenes. He only told her when he already shot it.

"Listen to me,oppa. Back then I was mad because you didn't tell me. I won't get mad if you said it to me in the first place. Don't worry about me, work is work. Dream is dream. Passion is passion. Just like what Sang Tae said, Soo Hyun belongs to Soo Hyun and I belong to myself. Even of we're in a relationship, it shouldn't be a hindrance to achieve our own goals and dreams. We are an actors, it's part of our job. We should be professional. It's just an acting and I really understand. You know your courage to try something new always makes me proud. So don't hold back, oppa. I will support you no matter what. I'm sure your fans are already waiting for you but remember that I'm your number one fan. Okay?" she was holding his face while explaining

He almost cried while hearing those words from her. He stood up and gave her a tight hug. He was relieved "I'm really lucky to have you in my life, my Yea Ji. I always got your back." he whispered. She pulled away from his hug and gave him a peck

February 2021, he finally accepted the role.

March 2021, Yea Ji attends the script reading. She will be joined with Kim Nam Gil and Im Siwan.

"Anyeonghaseyo, sunbaenim." she greeted him as she went inside the room

"Anyeonghaseyo." he greeted back with a smile

He was one of her dream actor to work with. Sje was happy to work with him.

She settled on her sit beside him and checked the scripts. As she scan it, a man sit beside her. "Hello, Yea Ji ssi." Im Siwan said, she bows shyly and smile at him.

Some of the artists also arrived, the room was already filled with laughter as they started to read their respective lines on the script. As usual, Yea Ji being a method actress amazed the artists.

"Woah, you're really good." Nam Gil complimented her. "Ah, thank you so much." she said

"You're right, hyung." Siwan agreed "I heard from someone that you're a method actress. Is that right?" he asked

"From who? But yes, I'm a method actress." she answered. He just laugh and shakes his head. He remembered last night, Soo Hyun texted him. Since they already worked together on the moon embracing the sun, Soo Hyun asked him to take care of her, he said that she's a method actress so there are times that you can't talk to her.

"From someone. Really close to you." he whispered and smile at her. She get it instantly and felt shy.

The script reading ended really well. She bid goodbye to the staffs and left.  The shoot will starts in two days.

Since Soo Hyun's project will be a netflix original, the production takes time to finalize to scripts, props and actors. They decided to shoot it on August until December and the showing will be on 2022.

"How was the script reading?" he called her

"It's fun, oppa."

"Good. Now go home to me, I miss you. Let's not waste our time together while the shoot hasn't started yet."

"Alright. I'm already near."
