The shuttle approached Coruscant. A little while longer, it was cruising through the traffic lanes and arrived an abandoned factory multiple klicks away from the city.

The ship landed inside a hangar, concealed within the dark, shadowed tangles of the factory. Dim orange light sparsely lit up the room.

With a hiss, the boarding ramp of the shuttle opened. Count Dooku stepped out, his walk brisk and excited. A lone, cloaked figure was waiting for him.

"The Force is with us, Master Sidious," Count Dooku smiled and bowed his head respectfully.

The man known as Sidious nodded. "Welcome home, Lord Tyranus. You have done well."

The two began strolling slowly deeper into the hangar.

"I have good news for you, my lord," Dooku reported quite cheerfully. "War has begun."

"Excellent," Sidious replied. "Everything is going as planned."

"Do you believe what Count Dooku said," Obi-Wan asked Mace Windu as the two stared out at the city of Coruscant below them from the Jedi Council Chamber. "About Sidious controlling the Senate? It doesn't feel right."

"Jointed the Dark Side Dooku has," Master Yoda said gravely from his seat. "Mmm. Lies, deceit, creating mistrust are his ways now."

"Nevertheless, I feel we should keep a closer eye on the Senate," Windu stated.

Obi-Wan nodded. "I agree."

"Where is your apprentice?" Windu questioned.

"On his way to Naboo, escorting Senator Amidala home," was Obi-Wan's reply. There was a brief pause before he spoke again.

"I have to admit that without the clones, it wouldn't have been a victory."

"Victory?" Yoda said, incredulously. "Victory, you say? Master Obi-Wan, not victory. The shroud of the Dark Side has fallen...
