So...

We got caught! :D

Well sort of.

After Venti told us to sneak into the place where the lyre was held, (which was heavily guarded by the way), Aether, Paimon and I had to use our IMPECABLE ninja skills to get through unoticed.

When we made it to the lyre, some random purple dressed, green haired lady flew right past and snatched the lyre.

"b r u h."

To silence us before any of us could scream, she put a finger to her lips, and disapeared like a bolt of lightning. Quite literal as she left behind sparks of electricity.

To be honest, she looked pretty cool.

'an elctro user.... and her attire, shes apart of the fatui.'

All was in vain when we heard a yell from behind us.

A guard noticed our presence, and even though we did come here to steal the lyre, they believed we were the ones who had it in our possesion.

The guard called out for reinforcements who came running.

We dipped.

Outside the cathedral, Venti, who opted out of joining us to get the Lyre was looking up and the night sky.

Being enthraled with whatever he was thinking, he was startled by our crys and the slam of the huge doors in which we opened hastily.

"Huh?"

"We're busted!" Paimon summarized

Still in a daze, Venti looked behind us, probably looking at the guards who ran after us.

"Oh no no no no no" I was not going to get caught because green bard boy was day dreaming.

Grabbing Ventis shoulders I pushed him and myself off the balcony.

"UWAAH!!"

"DEPLOY DEPLOY!!!"

Following my instructions, he opened his gliders, and I followed once he was safely gliding.

Aether jumped after us, and Paimon went along-side us.

In the moment, I was too focuses on not getting caught, I told everyone to jump without a plan. To be honest it scared me of how easily they followed my instructions.

A certain red haired emo boy came to mind, and I knew where we were going to be crashing tonight.

"Alright! Follow me."

Busting through the door of angel share, we seem to have caught diluc at a bad time, as he was talking to a buisness partner from behind the bar.

"Hi!" Venti greeted nonchalantly "we'd like a seat at your ahhh..... least conspicuous table please!"

Leaning to the right of Venti, I made myself visible to the pyro user and waved to him excitedly.

He looked increadibly dumfounded as his gaze shifted between all of us. "Uhh, the second floor has fewer customer's.... youd be less conspicuous there?"

As the words left his mouth he seemed even nore confused.

His gaze hardened "... but arent you a bard? Why not sit front and center."

Laughing nervously at the redheads stare, Venti covered up the truth and pushed us towards the stairs.

Flashing a peace sign to the grape juice lover, we rushed to the second floor.

As we did, the front door of the bar opened.

In came two Knights who questioned Diluc about us.

"Three theives tried to steal the Holy lyre! Have you seen them master Diluc?"

I clicked my tongue.

Can't have the title of theif if ive never been caught. I was tempted to yeet something at the guards heads for their comments, but I didnt have anything to throw.

Yes I would have done it, no I wouldn't have cared about the consequences.

To my surprise, the red head waved off the guards and gave them false information as to where we ran off.

I knew he must have figured out we were the so called 'thieves,' so why didnt he just turn us in?

Once the guards left, we made out way downstairs.

Venti, being venti, walked over to the bar. "Today ill have a glass of..."

I had walked over with him as I heard Dilucs voice from behind us.

"You can put down that bottle you stole from behind the counter."

I looked to the bards hands and sure enough, a bottle of dandelion wine was held in his grasp.

"...something cold." Venti smiled brightly when he turned to the bartender.

I snatched the bottle he held and placed it on the counter. He pouted slightly but faced Diluc nonetheless.

"Right." Diluc began with a serious tone. "I want answers."

OooOooOooh~

"Damn, sir yes sir. Any thing for you pap-"

Aether slapped his hand against my mouth to stop me from saying anything else. 'Jerk.'

Venti eased up the tension in the room by asking if he could finish his drink, but was shot down immedietly.

"You seem to young to be drinking."

'Wait, what IS the age to legally drink in mondstadt? I mean, I LOOK (y/a) and got dandelion wine easily- so if thats the age limit here, then I SHOULD be good?'

Remembering the time Diluc allowed me to drink dandelion wine, I questioned myself as to wether or not I was allowed too.

Eh, doesnt really matter now, does it?

"He is Master Diluc, the boss... er the owner of this tavern."

As Venti introduced Aether and Paimon to Diluc, I discreetly milly rocked for the red head to see.

He noticed, and looked more confused then when he popped out of the womb.

'Heh.'

Regaining his composure, he tried his hardest to look intimidating but in my opinion, looked adorable.

He questioned, "I just heard about some theives from the guards. For the record, I like how bold you are for attempting to steal the Holy Lyre der Himmel."

For some reason, he looked at me when he began to speak his next words.

"Even if you are fools..." oh. "...but we dont often get to see people like you."

'Not gonna lie, that kinda hurt.'

Brushing off his insult, which I knew he directed at me, we began to defend ourselves by explaining how it wasnt us, and how all this came to be.

Diluc was surprisingly understanding, but that was only cause he thought of the knights as 'inefficient.' Something I knew from our chat before.
Though, I was still not quite sure why.

After a bit more talking, we decided on a time and place to continue our discussion, which would be here in the tavern after hours.

'Oh ho ho, after hours? My my, Diluc how scanda-'

I swift chop to my head was felt, and my hands flew up to the spot where Aether hit me.

"Ow! Why did you do that! I didnt say anything!"

"You were thinking about something weird, I know it." He mumbled quietly.

He wasn't wrong, but like... how did he know?!?!?

"psychic mother fu-"

"Language."
