An endless Void.

Deprived of Sound or color.

Smells or tastes.

Just an inky black ocean one swims through when they are on the edge of life and death.

How does one separate reality from your imagination?

For even the trap within the depths of our consciousness could mix the two ever so easily.

Is there really away, to escape from this reality?

Or is it... that you have to escape your imagination instead?

"..."

Atop a cluttered table, (h/c)-hair reached every corner of the wooden surface.

It came to the point where it reached the very ground below, sweeping the dirt and grass from its severe length.

Underneath the mountain of tangled knots and scattered papers, an aloof face could be made out from behind it.

Raising her head, the girl to which made this mess drooled lightly, ignoring the dull pain of the imprint the table had surely made upon her face.

This outside study area did little to provide her any comfort from the elements. After all... it was outside.

Looking to and fro the area, she immediately recognized it to be a place not far off from her home.

Yes... it was now only her home...

She'd do well to remember that from now on.

Delicately tracing a hand over the various items atop the table, she picked up an empty opened bottle from the dozens of scrapped papers.

Grabbing the cap, she laid them both on her palm staring at them with a disappointed look upon her face.

She huffed lightly, the air pushing aside the hair that framed her face.

Snapping the cap on the bottle harshly, she threw it aside carelessly.

It had landed somewhere on the grass, but the girl couldn't offer more of a damn about its whereabouts.

Not like it mattered either way.

"That didn't work either."

As she took steps to leave, she looked back on the table, glaring at the assortment of ripped paper and or notebooks.

Another failure, another year.

She sighed.

What she was doing, she was doing for something good.
And that was all she needed to tell herself.

'Right...'

Leaving the lively garden, she made her way back home.

It was the only thing she could do.... for now at least.

"Auuuuhhhhhhhh~ My back is starting to hurt waaayyyy, too much now. I should prob-*CRACK* Oof! That... that felt good actually."

A jubilant voice echoed through the empty halls of the deserted house.

However, they were silenced by the sound of a crackling fire.

A sound favored by the occupant of this small building.
Though one couldn't necessarily call that noteworthy.

"Augh... I need to make Lunch... nooOoOoOoO- you know what. The human body doesn't need all three meals... Eh, I'll be fine."
