We actually hit it off well.

I had narrowly avoided the question Diluc had shot at me since if he didn't know the answer already, I sure as hell wouldn't want to dig my own grave.

After that, we talked for a bit and realized that we had quite a bit in common.

It also helped that both of us were awkward, so we basically canceled each other out and it was easy to make friends.

We talked about our opinions on the knights, favorite dishes, even complained about Kaeya. We also realized we both used claymore's and exchanged tips with each other.

Overall, it was a pretty fun time, just chatting in the bustling bar while he served drinks and took orders.

"Kaeya was always the more.... rowdy one. Always nitpicking me on the littlest things. " Diluc explained as he poured cups of wine and beer for the patrons.

This interested me as I placed down my second cup of wine. I had a strong stomach, I wouldn't be getting dizzy anytime soon. "What type of things would he say?"

The pyro user looked to the side as he narrowed his eyes at the wooden wall. He seemed flustered by the question, yet still decided to answer me.

"To this day, he still picks fun at my love of grape juice."

"pfft-"

The redhead snapped his head to face me once he heard my laugh, but I stopped before he could see me. I had put on a blank and serious expression.

"What a lowly thing to do, that Kaeya..."

He nodded in agreement with my statement, turning away once again to continue cleaning.

I let out a sigh as I sweatdropped. 'Damn, he really cares about his grape juice.'

Don't get me wrong, I realized just how terrifying Diluc can be, it happened when I had argued with him that garlic and herbs are much better than just salt and pepper.

This coming from someone who uses and studies plants a lot by being in the wild and having a dendro vision, I had an extremely strong argument.

This, the pyro user did NOT like.

The look he gave me was T E R R I F Y I N G, and he didn't even notice. I swear I saw every possible way he could ruin my life, starting with destroying all of my precious books- no, I can't relive it.

I had unknowingly shuddered at the thought. Diluc had noticed this.

"Are you alright?"

"yeah yeah... I'm fine..."

"are you cold?"

"well if i was cold, i would have asked you to warm me u-"

The door behind me, being the front door of the bar, opened up so fast it almost hit the six fingered bard standing beside it.

'always ruining my moment. but thank you for stopping me from saying something embarrassing? Huh, now that i see who it is, I don't know if I'm actually thankful to you...'

"...Kaeya"

Disturbingly enough, the usually cool and charismatic Kaeya was smiling widely. Though it looked extremely forced.

Most of the patrons of the bar ignored him, and those who did notice his arrival quickly returned to their buisness.

"Thats me!"

Outside the Angel's Share bar, a certain blue haired knight was waiting by the entrance where he had engaged in conversation with the worker who was guarding the door.
