"Stormterror... is attacking Mondstadt itself!"

Amber had begun to recount the events out loud. Most likely to inform the very hot, slightly suspicious-looking guy of what had happened before his arrival, but for us, it was all just trivial information we JUST lived through. So I was only paying half attention until I heard my name being called.

"Kaeya, (y/n), Aether, you've all come at the right time. We must-"

"Hold on Amber."

The man that had just walked up to us had his arms crossed over his chest. His semi-deep voice echoing in my mind. I wished he would say my name with it.

"Are you perhaps forgetting to introduce us?"

That's right, he still hasn't been introduced to us. Actually, when he said those words, his eyes flickered in our direction and..... was I sniffing dandelions, or did he look at me for a bit longer than Aether.

I don't care if it was for a fraction of a second more, his lingering stare made my heart skip a beat. That or I could be having a heart attack right now.

Damn, I really was delusional.

"Oh... right" Amber had finally noticed her mistake. She sheepishly turned to me and Aether.

"This is Kaeya, our Cavalry Captain."

'suck it up (y/n), do NOT mess this up or I swear on ja-'

"These three are Travelers from afar..." Amber had pointed towards, "Aether, (y/n) and Paimon."

I waved slightly while Aether simply nodded. Paimon..... Paimon floated.

When Amber introduced us, I managed to catch the distant yet piercing gaze Kaeya threw our way. It was almost unnoticeable, I don't think Aether nor Paimon caught ahold of it.

'Does he suspect us of something? no... I think he just doesn't trust us. Understandable, guess ill just have to get him to trust us, wouldn't want to leave a bad impression on him.'

Amber continued with her report as to what had just occurred. She summed up everything that happened in a short story. This unknowingly helped me in getting Kaeya to lower his guard, as he came to understand the situation better. Now it would be much easier to befriend him.

'wouldn't want to make an enemy of such a hot guy. gotta collect those brownie points ya know?'

After a bit more talking and a small thanks from Kaeya to Aether for assisting the city, he finally revealed that the acting grandmaster wished to meet not only Aether but me as well.

I mean the only thing I did was sit in a corner reading por- ahem. I'm very honored to go meet her nonetheless.

We began to head out towards the Knights of Favonious headquarters where we were told Acting Grandmaster Jean was in. While walking, I also noticed Kaeya was a vision user as well. More things we had to talk about. what? I really wanna make a good impression! I promise.

Opening the doors of the Favonious HQ, the small group was then led to a separate room off to the side. Opening the door everyone-

*Thud*

"AHH!"

Paimon yelped out in horror at the sound of something hitting the ground. Kaeya and Amber also jumped back in surprise, while Aether boredly gazed off into the distance.
