"...Ah- childe!"
"No... oh, wait what? What do you- oh it's Tart. Fuck my life."
As we were about to plead for our lives once we received the check for the Kite we were about to purchase, Paimon pointed to a particular figure walking towards us.
In all his long-legged, dead-eyed glory was the living nightmare manifested, Childe.
Good thing he appeared too, or else we wouldn't have been able to pay for the expensive ass kite.
Zhongli could probably persuade him into buying it, cause I sure wasn't going to stoop that low.
"Oooohhh, yaaayyy, it's Chiiilldeee. iM jUsT sO hApPy."
I went to walk towards him so that I could reach him first but was surprised when he simply walked past me.
My mind hiccuped at that, not processing that he ignored me for a few seconds.
'Hold up-'
Swerving quickly, I saw that he continued his way towards my group, consisting of Zhongli, Aether, and Paimon, and didn't pay a lick of attention to me.
'Why does that annoy me more than when he did pay attention to me!?'
Though, the end of his constant teasing did sound rather appealing to me.
So I went along with it.
I took my spot next to Aether once more, fiddling with my fingers as I did.
"Allow me to pay for it."
Child's dull voice attempted to hold an enthusiastic tone, but overall it failed in delivering.
But the sincerity in the fact that he would pay for the ridiculous amount of the kites assured us that our prayers were heard.
I could feel a small tap on my shoulder.
Aether had garnered my attention, leaning into my ear, and whispering a small, "what's the matter with that Fatui?"
So he saw it too.
Pushing down my blush, I shrugged nonchalantly, for I didn't know what the cause of Childe's odd behavior was.
When we looked back to Childe, he seemed to be gripping his already clenched fists tighter.
'Seriously, what's up with him? Usually, he's able to be calmer than this... Ehh, man period.'

Zhongli and Childe made an agreement in which Childe would give us a bag of mora so that we may continue with the purchasing of various items for the memorial.
To my relief, we all left Tart to find the merchants we needed. It was an odd goodbye, after all, I couldn't stop the feeling that Childes eyes were glaring daggers into my back.
It was uncomfortable, to say the least.
We found the merchants, those of which whose names I noted could be shuffled around to say 'tic-tac-toe,' and were off.
Zhongli and I, who knew more about liyue than Aether and Paimon, decided to go in search of snacks, which we would have for a break.
Passing by Wanmin restaurant, we decided it would be best to grab something from here.
"Hello, we're here for- Oh! Xena!"
Being pleasantly surprised by the young chef's appearance, I called out to her in excitement.
