Day 23: Their meanings - Guren X Reader

A/N: Everyone is about 17/18 here.

Y/N's POV
Flowers had a ton of meanings.

Meanings that may be obvious.

And meanings that may not be obvious.

I knew some of them.

The obvious ones mostly, like red roses signifying love.

Then I learned more about them. But it was due to a scenario that was quite unpredictable.

"Hey Y/N." I was greeted by the familiar but not always welcomed face of Ceylan.

"What's up?" I asked as I got to class.

"Looks like you got a little something on your desk." Ceylan was suspicious and made me sceptical.

"I swear if you have messed with anything, I will grab a chainsaw and watch the life drain from your eyes as I hack up your body." I threatened as I approached my desk

I saw a small bouquet flower on my desk. They looked like white pompoms on stems.

"Oh, it's not actually a bad thing," I said.

"Come on, I'm not that bad," Ceylan complained.

"You tried throwing a water balloon filled with paint at me when I arrived at school. That was this Monday. Monday was just yesterday." I recalled.

"Okay, I understand. But this isn't from me. Look, there's a note on it." I rolled my eyes at what he said but picked up the bouquet of flowers and looked at the note.

'Thought that you would like these flowers. Hope it gives you a sweet and lovely day. - Guren'

I smiled at that.

"It's from Guren," I murmured.

"You mean, from the guy that you have a crush on. My best friend, the guy you have a crush on?" Ceylan questioned.

"Yeah..." I sighed, hitting Ceylan on the head as I was getting sick of him.

"What the heck was that for?" Ceylan asked as I neatly put the flowers to the side of my desk.

Class started and we sat down in our seats.

By lunch, I had gone searching for Guren to thank him for the flowers.

"Hey, Guren!" I exclaimed, catching his attention.

"Oh hey." Guren greeted, with a smile.

"Thanks for the flowers this morning. It made my day." I smiled at him and gave him a quick hug before letting go.

"I've got to go. I'll see you whenever." I said and ran off to meet with my friends.

What I didn't see was that Guren was smiling while his face had gone red.

A couple of days later, I received another small bouquet of flowers.

This time it wasn't on my desk, but given to me by Guren himself.

"Thank you," I said smiling at him. I accepted them and these were the ones that I recognised.

White daises.

"I thought they looked nice and got them for you," Guren said.

"Again thank you. It means a lot that you got them for me." I smiled.

I held them in one hand and walked with Guren to class, talking about whatever was on my mind.

I didn't notice the note in the flowers until I was sat in my seat, looking over them.
