A/N: I'm writing this due to the fact that I had done a lot of origami recently. Some of the things I made are big but really cool. But I decided to make this. Enjoy. Also, sorry for not updating for a month.
Y/N's Pov
Rejection.
That's something that can hurt.
It's not easy to deal with.
But it will be there.
And it takes time for it to leave.
That is, if you allow for you to move on.
That's how I felt.
After being rejected by a crush of mine.
So right now, I was walking home, feeling dejected.
Knowing that I had no chance hurt, but being told directly made it somehow worse.
I got close to my house when I was stopped by someone.
"Y/N, we.... Hey, what's wrong?" I was turned around to face Gen.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Don't try lying to me. I've known you for too long. Now tell me what's wrong." gen said, wiping tears that I didn't even know was there.
"Nothing's wrong. Just was thinking of sad things." I said.
Gen then pulled me into a hug.
I cried onto his shoulder , explaining to him what happened.
"Hey, don't worry. He must be blind as heck if he couldn't see how amazing you are." Gen said.
"Thanks. Sorry for just bawling my eyes out." I said, wiping my tears.
"It's okay. It's Friday, which is usually movie night, and I think it's a good idea to get your mind off of things too." Gen suggested.
"Oh, I completely forgot. Let's go." I said, grabbing his hand and leading him inside my house.
*time skip*
It's Monday now. Over the weekend Gen had helped me to get over him. Although I wasn't completely over him, it was better than crying over him.
I walked into school and towards my locker to get some things that I didn't really want to care about.
I opened my locker to see an origami rose.
I smiled a bit and saw a note attached to it.
'You are beautiful. Don't let anyone say anything.'
I smiled at that and put it back into my locker so I could take it home after school.
*a month later*
For the last month, I had been provided little origami structures in my locker with notes attached to them.
Each of them never failed to make me smiled.
And each of them made me forget about my kind of recent rejection.
One day, I had went to school early in hopes to get some studying in early.
I went to my locker and just as I got there, I saw Gen opening my locker, holding an origami penguin in his hand.
"Gen?" I questioned.
He looked at me in surprise.
"Uh, you weren't supposed to find out about this." Gen said.
"You did this for me?" I questioned.
"Yeah. I thought they would cheer you up." Gen said, holding out the penguin for me.
I smiled, taking it.
"Thanks. You shouldn't have but thanks. It really made my day when I saw them." I said.
"It was nothing. I had a bunch of origami structures I made just sitting there in a room and I thought you would appreciate it more than me." Gen said.
"Thanks." I said, hugging him.
"Oh, and here." Gen said, giving me a note that usually comes paired with the origami.
I read it.
'I like you. Do you want to go out? I'll be waiting at the back school for an answer.'
I smiled as I felt my face heat up.
I looked up at Gen who seemed a bit shy.
I leaned up and kissed his cheek.
"I like you too." I said.
I looked down at the origami penguin and smiled.
"And thank you again for this." I smiled.
"I will treat you better than anyone else." Gen said.
"I know you will." I said.
And with that, Gen and I went to study for the test.
And in the future, who would have known Gen propose to me with an Origami ring.
